elizabeth taylor is slightly ahead on apple (#92 to TLOAS #93) but both are flopping every other market as far as i can see

yea ik. it must’ve freefell when on acr but thats not normal

Christmas songs above it as @DanielCarey pointe out it would be 37 without them, but with boxing day and a lot still doing alright christmas songs aren't falling fast enough 🤣🤣

Elizabeth Taylor hasn't been reset or did the title track surpass it even with reset

Think it's more of a combination of both factors,

Opalite is the second single (which may or may not be reset yes it's low on Spotify but it's higher on apple and amazon) but I can't see any reason as to why ET would be reset because that would mean potentially 3 resets for Taylor which is very rare in January

  • And as ever we don’t necessarily even know what order they’re really in on Spotify because they might have different premium to free proportions.

  • All too often in this group we have focused too much on Spotify, and then being surprised that the songs doing best on Spotify aren’t always number 1. On Amazon it’s Golden followed by Man I Need. A

  • So that's basically resets confirmed for The Fate of Ophelia, WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! and So Easy (To Fall in Love), but not Man I Need or Golden, as expected.

Was hoping Raye might do it this week and not Taylor Swift, maybe the physicals would have worked better for Raye this week.

Really happy to see Kylie still top 5 and now looking good to get another week in the top 40.

Exactly I was just confirming it

but then @Mr. C. Joel said Taylors physicals Have been brought forward 😅

they (taylor) always get released early here, like 2-3 days early. I think taylor is locked in for the no.1 ;-;

Yeah she's challenging for number 1 on billboard as well so it's not surprising

If any of the Christmas songs are still in the chart on Friday, it would make sense for radio 1 to skip them as they tend to skip songs during the chart run

shes got it locked in there no? she withheld christmas entirely and was still top 10 she was practically guaranteed it no matter what no?

last year It Can’t Be Christmas wasn’t skipped so amazon bribery might get another play for X.M.A.S. but idk

If they wanna play any Christmas song, at least skip the old ones. Sunday’s POTP is going back to 2006 where FONY was number 5 on the chart. Makes me wonder if they’ll skip it or play it

No golden was ahead by 10 points on their version of first look, which probably promoted an early release

It will be Goldens last chance to go num 1 if they hold. Ordinary was only 2 points beyond Taylor in 3rd though so could be the worse new num 1 of the year in the US

Nobody has mentioned that Tiffany is in!

Originally it was clearly denied a reset because a reset would not have pushed it into the top 40 (it was not significantly below Kate Bush in streaming).

It looks like it has finally been reset after all!?

So hoping that Tiffany will get into the top 40 – and I also have a feeling that she will get a lot of New Year’s Eve streams - though I don’t know if she is on any New Year’s Eve playlists.

And yes, it does look as though the OCC has done away with the one reset per artist rule.

The hilarious thing is I Think We’re Alone Now is due a 2020s hit.

1960s - original

1980s - Tiffany

2000s - Girls Aloud

2020s - Tiffany Reprise?

No. I think it was one Westlife song that scored 200->1 jump

Yes, it was unbreakable or Mandy I think

Could we see Diana Ross with "Upside down" reset and possibly a top 100 for She and Him "I thought I saw your face".?

As well as 'I Think We're Alone Now', it looks like 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' has been given a reset!

I guess it's still possible that 'Upside Down' could get a reset by Friday if it shows enough of an increase by then to make the Top 40? It's unclear what the reset decisions are based on for these older songs.

Hopefully Boys Don’t Cry too!

In terms of resets to songs which had only recently gone to ACR, it appears resets have been given to almost everything whose last week on SCR was the chart of 28 November (which includes 'Dracula', 'Folded' and 'WGFT') or later - of which those not in the update are:

Ed Sheeran - Camera

Lady Gaga - The Dead Dance

Lewis Capaldi - Something In The Heavens

Sabrina Carpenter - House Tour

Taylor Swift - Elizabeth Taylor

It's possible that they all have been reset but are either still not high enough or (in the case of 'House Tour' and 'Elizabeth Taylor') are now starred out by other songs by those artists.

yea i forsee that being the case for ‘The Dead Dance’ as a whole, she’s not coming back… tho it is a bit weird ‘Camera’ and ‘Something In The Heavens’ are absent rn
