Did Niall sing? No, there doesn’t seem to be any performances on the show unfortunately. They did show a clip from his new single though.
March 23Mar 23 I caught up on both episodes tonight, the second episode was a huge improvement for me! I know with a first episode it'll be finding its feet etc, but I think in episode 2 the paring down a lot of the awkward audience interaction definitely helped. Maybe also the guests seemed to have better chemistry, and I can tell Claudia will seemed to settle into the role more naturally.
March 29Mar 29 Author Caught up on episodes 2 and 3 last night and I feel Claudia is still very much an NPC in her own show at the moment. The guests have all been brilliant (really loved Niall and Joanne), but they're driving a lot of the conversations and having their own little shindig that could happen regardless of whether she's there or not.
April 3Apr 3 I found episode 3 really boring, almost to the point I was looking forward to it ending. I might persevere with future episodes, or I might not bother.
July 16Jul 16 It's not returning for another series, Claudia has stepped down, and has more or less hinted she wasn't comfortable doing it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpq8j188n90oI can't say I'm surprised but equally disappointed. It feels like she was set up for failure with this, and she's more than capable of leading a much better chat show than what we ultimately got.
Wednesday at 13:272 days The problem is chat shows are particularly hard now and if you're going to have a swing at a new one, you've got to do something that podcasts aren't doing.I can see why they had a go with Claudia but it did feel like what could end up being a final swing at the genre.
