I'm still perplexed as to why THRILLER and BAD albums haven't been recertified by BPI by now. I thought all certifications were automatically generated nowadays or is that just singles?

Albums are also automatic with sales going back to 1994. BPI don't have pre 1994 sales. Previous certs were based on Record Company shipments.
