Bolstered by the series finale of Stranger Things, Djo, the pseudonym of Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, finally gained top spot four years on from the song’s initial release. Looking to end Djo’s short reign at the summit include Taylor Swift and The Fate of Ophelia (2) as well as RAYE’s WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! (3). Two pop princesses who know all about the sweet taste of that Number 1 spot, an intriguing battle is sure to ensue this week. Your highest climber this week could come courtesy of Bruno Mars with his latest offering, I Just Might (5). Following his unexpected announcement on Thursday (8 January) that he would be releasing a new album The Romantic in February, I Just Might dropped this Friday and could earn Mars a 12th Top 5 hit. Elsewhere, Think About Us from Sonny Fodera, D.O.D and Poppy Baskcomb continues to fill dancefloors and is tracking for Top 20 prosperity, currently up seven places so far (18). Plastic Cigarette by Zach Bryan (21), may acquire the American country singer-songwriter his highest charting single since 2023’s I Remember Everything. HUNTR/X return in 2026 looking for more chart success, as What It Sounds Like (24) and How It’s Done (26) begin a steady climb towards re-entering the Top 20. After securing its peak position last week, PinkPantheress and Stateside is looking to smash this achievement out of the park, on course to climb eight to a new personal best (27). As she was named in The Official Charts One’s To Watch 2026 list, SIENNA SPIRO and You Stole The Show may move an eye opening nine places (28). Upbeat anthem Talk of the Town from Fred again.. featuring Sammy Virji and Reggie is tracking to climb three (33), while David Guetta, Teddy Swims and Tones and I’s Gone Gone Gone finally looks to break the Top 40, currently scaling 11 positions (36). Finally, Sleepless in a Hotel Room could earn Luke Combs his third Top 40 accolade (39).

Saturday at 13:422 days Really intrigued to see what Blue will do this week. They are clearly aiming for the #1 - they have a ton of variants, signed CDs for £5, signing events etc., - just not sure if they have the fanbase to challenge for a #1?

Sunday at 00:232 days Guessing Zach Bryan has no physicals due to short notice release? Can't see him challenging for number one

Not sure they have the fanbase who will buy up different variants etc.

Sunday at 18:031 day The Bruno Mars track is quite an ear worm, and contagious, I'm beginning to like it quite a bit now.
