A track similar to "Backseat" wasn't on my bingo card to be honest. However, in case that happens, I expect there should be a radio edit to be honest. For instance, I wouldn't mine listening to a 6-minute song because I've done that so many times (even with "Backseat" because I don't think there's a radio edit), but I guess there should be one mainly for streaming purposes.

  • Wow. It's not often a lead single by an A-list superstar leaves me surprised like this. Kudos to Harry for making another musical swerve here. It sounds like the late 00s in a good way, all the cool

  • 100%, I’m not really particularly bothered about Harry any more than any other big artist I would check out because they’ve released, but I can’t think of any big male artist who would release a 5 min

So here for a Harry return. His last couple of albums have been so good and "As It Was" is still a perfect pop song.

Not sure about a six-minute track, but at least he's bucking the three-minute trend and looking to get the streams regardless of it being longer than your standard modern pop song.

Can't wait to hear Aperture tomorrow.

Sign of the Times was 5:40, so he’s definitely not opposed to a long lead single!

There will of course be a radio edit for the radio, but I don’t think it’ll be available on streaming.

I’m going to have to give this a few listens. The production is interesting but it doesn’t feel like there’s much of a song there.

I really enjoyed it. The synths and the techno influences are great. I wish there was more punch throughout the song, but if it's taken into consideration that this is the first track in the album, I guess there will be more dance-focused songs too.

It sounds like the late 00s in a good way, all the cool indie dance and electronic stuff that was around then, but it needs more listens for the melody to stick. I like the production a lot.

Will be very interesting to see how this does commercially after week one. It certainly feels unlikely to be an As It Was level hit.

It’s ok for me without being anything special. I’m expecting there will be much better songs on album.

I think I think the same @gooddelta.

I expect this to debut at #1 next week, but I’m not expecting it to have the longevity or mass appeal of As It Was.

If this wasn't a Harry lead this would go completely unnoticed....

Honestly I love it. I've really been into Indie-pop/electronic music the last year. Wasn't expecting Harry to release a track along those vibes! Gives me Robyn vibes as well.

I do like the inidie pop/electronic sound to it but i think its a song that could become annoying quiet easily but fair play its totally different to anything he has done so far so he isnt afraid to take a risk and do something different for him.

#1 on Apple Music's Today's Hits UK and Apple Music's Today's Hits US. #2 on Spotify's Hot Hits UK and #3 on Spotify's Today's Top Hits.

This is so different for him, amazing that he's making use of his status to experiment like this!

Sounding great, am on my second play already and think it'll be what I'm listening to for most of the weekend. Will it be a huge hit in the long run? Hard to say, but kudos to Harry for not playing it safe, not sure any other A lister would make this move.

I really quite like this and if I'm honest, I welcome the switch up in sound as well.

This is the album's opening track, which makes complete sense, what a statement to open with!
