Ticket prices really are disgusting! There is literally NO NEED to be charging that much....(Got them anyway but still lol)

I can't see it becoming a huge multi week number 1 but it'll probably stay stable for a few more days at least.

I guess this is where the musicians make ££ in this day and age but yes your point remains exactly correct the prices are ridiculous

For sure the bulk of earnings come from tours but there's being overpriced and then charging £300-£700 a seat on really basic premium seating.

Concerts seem to be selling incredibly well now because people are opting to spend their money on experiences rather than 'stuff' (Work in marketing / data etc..) so they are capitalising on this and rinsing fans completely.

Hopefully in the future there's some sort of cap at least because tickets are way higher than Harry's last tour.

At the risk of being a Taylor loon , this is where artists like her are doing it effectively and capping ticket prices along with making it harder for none genuine fans to get them

It is bad though. Like you know your fans are going to buy it regardless. Its just greed at that point

Yeah I agree. I totally get it's supply and demand and clearly people are paying it but there comes a point where it's too much, especially for music fans who want to go to multiple concerts by different artists no artists budget is that high they need £700 per seat (We're not even talking about incredible views of the stage either)

I said it in Harry's thread but Taylor's tickets went on sale a couple of years back now, the ticket situation's escalated since then. Harry's tour is a notable one so it's getting the coverage, but it's pretty much applied to all arena and stadium tours recently, the prices have gone through the roof.

The government are trying to do some type of regulation but it’s hard to control the market https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-bans-ticket-touting-to-protect-fans-from-rip-offs#:~:text=Ticket%20resale%20above%20face%20value,in%20the%20initial%20ticket%20sale

A start would be have a blanket standard price for standard seats and then cap premium seating at 20%, 30%, 40% extra of the standard seating prices? All concerts need to have more structure rather than the obvious 'lets see how much we can rinse everyone for' approach.

I do think the prices being asked for are pretty ridiculous, I don’t know how much control Harry himself actually has on the prices but it’s the same as for example football ticket prices, some of the prices fans are asked to pay for a match ticket is ridiculous and I think there should be some sort of price cap for all these things

What's the situation with standing tickets? When I went to Radiohead at the O2, good seats were mid-200s but standing (which imo is always by far the best way to attend a gig) was just 85!

I’m not criticising Harry exclusively because many artists have done this, but the artist has the opportunity to turn off dynamic pricing, which he didn’t do. That is the biggest cause of these extreme prices because the more demand the higher the tickets will be. It was also notoriously bad for Billie Eilish where nosebleed seats at the back of the o2 were £300

It's definitely the dynamic pricing that's a joke but I also think why can't artists lay out the ticket prices before they go on sale? I mean how hard is it to just let everyone know a fixed ticket price for standard seats and the VIP packages. You go in blind and are hit with numerous different prices even in the same seating blocks the prices vary based on all sorts of pointless factors (Pure greed).

I can't see it changing because the tickets are still selling out at these prices but more artists (Who are already worth millions) need to start speaking up it's the only way it'll change.

But its ok if you spend hundreds on a ticket this should make you feel so much better he is donating a whole £1 🤭

But £1 from each ticket sale is probably well over £1m. And we don't actually know what percentage of a £300 ticket actually goes into his pocket personally, it's probably less than we think. I'm not defending dynamic pricing and I think it's unacceptably expensive to go to a big gig these days, but I still think it's good of him to support grassroot venues in some small way.

Tbf he’s doing 12 shows at wembley with around 60k at each providing they all sell out, so that’s not far off a million going to small music venues so it doesn’t sound a lot but once it’s added up it’s a lot

Pretty sure Wembley's capacity is ~90k so that's already over 1m!

Yeah it is but surely the seats behind the stage don’t get sold, so it wouldn’t be at its full capacity?

Might be wrong though as I guess all these standing on the pitch might cancel that out!
