Posted January 23Jan 23 Just been scrolling the socials and this video popped up https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1aJK8Ng8g4/So was wondering is there an actual comprehensive list of most skipped songs ever ?
January 23Jan 23 Author Mariah is the most skipped christmas song apparently 🤣🤣 so your probably not far off
January 24Jan 24 'Eraser', Track 1 of Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' is the least streamed on the album, presumably as a good portion of listeners just start the album from track 2 being the far more fan-friendly 'Castle on the Hill'
January 25Jan 25 Author Yeah not surprised its also probably the weakest, like other huge skippers are welcome to new York from 1989 and The girl is mine from thriller, Its probably why most albums lead with the lead single or focused track nowadays to beat the track 1 skip

January 28Jan 28 Looking at Welcome to New York's streams on Spotify, both overall total and most recent daily performance, I wouldn't say it's an evident example of "most skipped". On the original 1989, it outperforms all the other album tracks.1989: Total StreamsTrack 02: 2,330,372,419 - Blank Space (2nd Single)Track 06: 1,806,878,279 - Shake It Off (1st Single)Track 03: 1,636,917,393 - Style (3rd Single)Track 09: 1,143,262,023 - Wildest Dreams (5th Single)Track 08: 724,961,883 - Bad Blood (4th Single)Track 04: 359,905,761 - Out of the Woods (6th Single)Track 16: 323,213,558 - New Romantics (7th Single)Track 01: 290,352,230 - Welcome to New YorkTrack 05: 243,124,772 - All You Had to Do Was StayTrack 13: 213,834,308 - CleanTrack 10: 191,432,543 - How You Get the GirlTrack 07: 166,352,835 - I Wish You WouldTrack 14: 164,375,439 - WonderlandTrack 15: 158,051,239 - You Are in LoveTrack 12: 145,237,517 - I Know PlacesTrack 11: 119,369,635 - This Love1989: Daily Streams, YesterdayTrack 03: 1,257,450 - Style (3rd Single)Track 02: 1,052,896 - Blank Space (2nd Single)Track 06: 609,706 - Shake It Off (1st Single)Track 09: 328,819 - Wildest Dreams (5th Single)Track 08: 208,947 - Bad Blood (4th Single)Track 01: 95,421 - Welcome to New YorkTrack 04: 93,113 - Out of the Woods (6th Single)Track 16: 79,744 - New Romantics (7th Single)Track 05: 42,185 - All You Had to Do Was StayTrack 10: 34,641 - How You Get the GirlTrack 13: 33,523 - CleanTrack 07: 27,920 - I Wish You WouldTrack 15: 27,559 - You Are in LoveTrack 14: 23,455 - WonderlandTrack 11: 21,038 - This LoveTrack 12: 19,240 - I Know PlacesWelcome to New York doesn't perform quite as strongly on Taylor's Version:1989 (Taylor's Version)1989 (Taylor's Version): Total StreamsTrack 09: 991,293,957 - Wildest Dreams (original was 5th Single)Track 21: 570,456,390 - Is It Over Now?Track 17: 431,374,158 - "Slut!"Track 19: 421,010,897 - Now That We Don't TalkTrack 03: 405,421,083 - Style (original was 3rd Single)Track 11: 358,929,228 - This LoveTrack 02: 354,115,768 - Blank Space (original was 2nd Single)Track 18: 276,104,794 - Say Don't GoTrack 04: 242,090,439 - Out of the Woods (original was 6th Single)Track 06: 219,455,729 - Shake It Off (original was 1st Single)Track 16: 213,932,496 - New Romantics (original was 7th Single)Track 01: 180,683,326 - Welcome to New YorkTrack 13: 171,435,880 - CleanTrack 20: 155,893,153 - Suburban LegendsTrack 05: 154,552,431 - All You Had to Do Was StayTrack 15: 154,279,896 - You Are in LoveTrack 08: 148,409,342 - Bad Blood (original was 4th Single)Track 22: 134,150,266 - Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) (original was 4th Single)Overall, of the 16 tracks from 1989, combining both originals and re-records: Welcome to New York was the 9th most streamed 1989 song yesterday - behind the 7 singles, and This Love.This Love (Taylor's Version) performs a lot better than the original ever did. Although not an official single, the Taylor's Version did get released by itself (about 18 months in advance of 1989 TV), and featuring on the TV show The Summer I Turned Pretty gave it attention.~~~I Forgot That You Existed, Track 1 on Lover, seems to me like a better example of a Taylor Swift Track 1 that isn't one of the most popular songs. Yesterday it was only the 15th highest streamed of its 18 tracks, only outstreaming Track 6 (I Think He Knows), Track 12 (Soon You'll Get Better) and Track 17 (It's Nice to Have a Friend).
