Entry: Happy Rhodes – Winter

@matto was our first leader of the night with this mellow piece of music from Happy Rhodes. Naming a song after a season is quite commonplace, and given that it is Winter in most places, apt too.

I thought Julian would have voted for Peter Gabriel. I forgot to allow for the possibility that it was his entry

Limousine was produced by MIchael Cretu (Enigma) btw.

I think I recall saying in the listenthrough that Happy Rhodes could be Mattias' as it sounds quite similar to Linda Perhacs - clocked cheeseblock another really lovely entry from you.

Yes you did! And someone also said Chez - so it's cool that it received a 12 from him ☺️

Entry: Hubert Kah – Limousine

Pitching up their stretched limo is @gooddelta who gave us, wtah the music video labels, a WWF Club anthem from 1986! It's in the mix right now, but will it have enough fuel to finish the journey...

FINALLY! All entries are off the mark, and Herbs has lifted off the foot of the scoreboard.

I would like to take this moment to announce my own votes... next.

Helping out a lot of those floundering at the bottom!

Thank you to the voters so far for Limousine, it's the first song I've ever sent to this that's a new discovery as I didn't feel particularly inspired by the existing options I knew that were on the table. This was a top 10 hit in Germany and its great, fun 80s pop to me.

I'm going to make a wild prediction that actually 'Onyx' is still going to win and the reveal order is being tricksy xx

Btw, in case anyone's interested, Happy Rhodes is quite the interesting, experimental artist with a whole bunch of obscure albums since the 80s (my song was from 1997 or 1998). Much of it doesn't really sound like 'Winter' but she's been one of my favourite discoveries of recent times, her music has been very interesting to delve into.

I was thinking that as well.
