Does bringing back three artists somewhat belittle the achievement of the Battleground winners potentially though, I mean, I'm all for having the chance to see three additional finalists be reinstated, but those who took part in the Battles were told to bring their best offerings to win their respective battles, so it could appear as less of a victory if their opponents are brought back again, though I would hope that one of the three artists to return would have been eliminated before the Battles round, but that seems unlikely.

How so?

They already achieved their goal by doing so and it paid off, compared to the ones who are competing and have to bring their best offerings once AGAIN, and it doesn't even guarantee them that they'll have a spot in Live Shows!!

That’s a fair point. But by winning the Battleground, I guess you’re not forced to play another ‘best of the best’ straight after so technically still advantaged?

Option A for me, the top 3 in general. It doesn't bother me if it's 2 from Females and 1 from Groups. Or 3 from Males. I wouldn't like to see an act miss out just because they finished second in their category even though they may have finished second or third overall.

I may or may not have a vested interest in this wildcard round though.

I'm with Josh - I like the music discovery element, so the more the merrier. Would go with option A - the top three highest scoring overall in the next round go through.

The winning the battlegrounds argument has a counter argument that those matches were simply luck of the draw. The likes of Blondie and Lily would have no doubt got through at least half of those other pairings.

Also they do have an advantage that they don’t have to use another song before the lives. So can keep a big hitter back

If all the Live Shows until the Finale are 'double eliminations' I hope it takes on the way The X Factor did it. The act with the least points is eliminated, then the acts with the next two lowest scores face a 'judges vote'. If it's 3-1 or 4-0 to eliminate then that act is gone, if it's 2-2 then we can revert back to the original votes.

Though @Calum is doing a great job and I don't want to tell him how to run this. 😃

I think the biggest shock for me is Lily Allen losing over Haim, I mean I do love both artists so I am glad either way but Lily Allen has been so strong throughout

How about each round now is a showdown between the penultimate bottom two, so after the artist with the least votes is eliminated, the two lowest who finish directly above have a single-off using their "backup" entry for a final chance to be saved by the judges... including of course Captain Eye Sack!
