With her latest album dropped at midnight this morning, Holly Humberstone has followed up her quite well promoted campaign of singles (well, each one of them got playlisted on R1).

All of her singles really did it for me more than anything she’s done before, To Love Somebody in particular, so I’ve given the album a listen during the train journey I’m currently on, and it’s really good! It matches the vibe of the singles and her sound is very HAIM/Carly Rae Jepsen. I hope this album does something chartwise to make up for the singles somehow not doing a single thing.

I think Holly has found her sound and style now. Think this is her best era by far. It is a shame the singles, especially To Love Somebody, haven’t been bigger.

Just on my first listen - sounds very nice so far. "White Noise" is another great song.

‘Make It All Better’, ‘White Noise’ and ‘Beauty Pageant’ are the standouts from the new stuff. The three singles still sound great too - ‘Cruel World’ is very fun and ‘To Love Somebody’ sounds like a huge hit.

Solid album from start to finish, I enjoyed Blue Dream and White Noise the most but its a solid album and vision, I can see it growing on me too.

I’ve had this on repeat since it dropped.

She really deserves to be huge, there’s so many big songs on the album that could give her that breakthrough moment.

‘To Love Somebody’ felt like the moment but it hasn’t transpired yet. If only TikTok could get hold of the tick-tick-boom part of ‘Cruel World’!

The fact it got a video probably gave it away, but looks like ‘Beauty Pageant’ is being pushed as the next single - Tune of the Week for Matt & Mollie on Radio 1.

‘White Noise’ was another candidate but I can see why they’ve gone for something different to the previous songs this era.

White Noise would have been my number one pick but Beauty Pageant is also great so I’m not mad at it, I just hope that with how much Radio 1 love her that she’ll continue having a great career because as an artist she’s really grown and this album is so good!
