I would be for it personally if it goes over 30. It always feels like such a brutal cull.

In a BJSC final we are able to vote for well over a third of the entries, but in a semi it is often just a third, or lower in a semi of the size you mention. So I think it would be ok for all site contests to be a bit more fluid dependent on numbers.

Absolutely yes for me. With this being more recent, there will be a lot more familiarity with a lot of the artists perhaps and it will be harder to differentiate. Plus, a shake up to the voting as well!

In BJSC 181 we had 32 in each semi - my entry from KÄSSY DNQed in 24th, but if you added 5 points per voter to everyone's score (which they would have had in the 15 point system), it would have qualified.

For my taste, I would increase the number of songs people vote for to 15 and reduce the number of finalists, i.e. the songs that make it to the final. Personally, I still think 40 in final is too many.

Yes, 42 is rather large (in months of two AQs). I suppose the huge final there is to minimise the number of non qualifiers and put people off getting disillusioned from continuing to participate.

I'm imagining the riots now if there was a rule change and 50% of entries each month failed to qualify.
