So last week you were against streaming, and now you're against sales lol

I’ll never be against sales and i’ll always be against streaming. I’m just surprised that sales stopped Dai Dai

I think you probably missed it due to your suspension from the site, but team Sam orchestrated a download campaign from his website at the end of the week. That's where the download sales came from.

Suspension because I have guts to say what people don’t wanna hear because when I say I’m gonna do something, I do it. I also believe in freedom of speech

Yes it must have taken great guts to say you would rather covid came back that killed a reported 7.1 million people than have RMI as the record breaker.

And you are absolutely correct that people don’t want to hear things like that when it impacted so many people personally.

It was actually the part where I said Elon bought twitter to give people freedom of speech

Oh yes. Buying the platform for $44 billion and using it to silence his detractors, to protect his fragile ego. What a guy.

No wonder you look up to him so much.

Quite honestly it was all of it, I'd suggest taking heed and not derailing other threads or you'll end up with another warning and automatic suspension.

Back on topic - it’s actually great to see that ‘Dai Dai’ hasn’t ‘just’ become a football hit and has grown outside of that.

The World Cup gave it an incredible platform but it hasn’t plummeted post the games and seems to have crossed over to people who had no interest in the World Cup or were not exposed to it prior to the final.

I’m sure ‘Waka Waka’ faded quite quickly after its initial release (despite going on to being a huge seller and chart returner).

I hope either Dai Dai or Petal go number 1 on Friday. I’ll be surprised if Petal gets it as i’ve not been hearing much about it. It would be great for Shakira to get her first number 1 in 19 years

I do think this works and has legs because all the football references are in the last 30 seconds so its not as obvious and in your face that its actually a football song

If they just cut out this tiny snippet

Pelé, Maradona, Maldini, Romário
Cristiano Ronaldo
El Pibe, Iniesta, Beckham y Kaká
Messi, Mbappé, Salah
Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia
US, England, Germany, France
South Africa, España, México, Japan
Korea, Netherlands

It could literally just be a feel good party song 🤣

'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)' didn't leave the top 100 in its original run until October and it re-entered a few times in 2011 and 2012.

I actually quite clearly remember it being a shockingly consistent presence on iTunes for years past its apparent sell-by date!
