Get in Egypt! Great to see another African nation make it into the Round of 16.

Suárez on for Córdoba due to an injury for Córdoba for Colombia.

Arias booked for Colombia.

Another early change due to an injury but for Ghana with Senaya.

Then three minutes later after being booked, Arias takes the lead for Colombia, 1-0.

Yay for Colombia. Rooting for them. 👏

To put a stop to the Partey?! party

Seems the Colombians have a kind of home advantage like Argentina did - lots of fans in both matches.

Ghana never really looked like getting back on terms.

I’ve never seen a team that’s only 1-0 up still trying to score more as much as Colombia did in added time. They never even considered going to the corner.

cabo verde did an aamzing job this wc. shame the bulk of their squad may not make it to the next wc but i’m seated for vozinha to show up again at age 44

btw this round of 16 lineup is f***ing boring lol. only paraguay is the surprise here ddd

I see your point but to have all the highest ranked teams progress the furthest makes for more intriguing and hard to call matches at the business end imo.

The World Cup has historically never been a tournament for huge upsets.

Colombia Argentina would be a great game for the fans on show!

Yeh it also is up to the smaller nations to fight against the hierarchy.

Amazing job for Cabo Verde, I don't think there was a scenario where they could ever go through but holding the European champions to a draw and running the world champions very close is a story for the ages, should do quite a bit of good for them on the world stage even if the squad seem to be aging.

Can't see past an Argentina/France rematch in the final looking at the draws now, unless Spain can change things.

Everyone definitely want to witness moments like Greece 2004 again at least once in a lifetime (including me who was still 2 that time), so all we can do is just hope and hope again.

i would have loved more african teams to qualify plus japan i think they do make the matches more exciting to watch

Yeh they def add something. Disappointed with Senegal not getting through. Algeria also disappointed.

Without them it becomes a euros plus Brazil and Argentina. USA could go far as well with their draw!

Want Belgium to somehow beat USA as they are the underdogs and also written off as being too old and past their best.

Yeh true but they are also poorly managed. Not a fan of the USA though so would be happy to see them out early!
