The third last 16 match sees Brazil take on Norway at the MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey at 9pm (UK Time ) on Sunday.

For Norway, this is the first time that they have reached the last 16 since their last appearance in 1998.

For Brazil, it is the fifteenth time in a row, they have progressed through the group stages, but their eleventh time in a row that they have reached the last 16 stage.

How do we see this one going?

  • That's good from an English perspective if this goes all the way. Should we progress we need the winners from this as tired as possible!

Last 3 Meetings between Brazil and Norway:

16/08/2006- Norway 1-1 Brazil (Friendly)

23/06/1998- Brazil 1-2 Norway (World Cup)

30/05/1997- Norway 4-2 Brazil (Friendly)

Now *this* has Norway win written all over it.

Norway is the ONLY team in the World that has never lost to Brazil. Add to that Brazil has been knocked out by a different European in each of the past 5 World Cups.

BUT, they do have Ancelotti in their corner.

norway to win and brazil to wrongly sack ancelotti only for another big club to snap him up for managerial role omggggg

if it's a goal, then I fear this will become a dull match...

Without the goal though, it has become dull.
