It needs to avoid ACR this week or next for the record to fall

At least Bryan Adams did 16 weeks on pure physical sales!

Nobody is ever going to beat that record - different times.

It doesn't say "top 40 contender" - if you're gonna complain then name me some better suggestions from this week's new releases! (better than someone who's had 3 top 100 hits in the last year)

Tbf I don't think Frankie Laine's record is well-known within the general public due to it being so long ago before the charts were mainstream...

"I hope you like it" I do sam but not enough to justify it being number 1 for this bloody long.

The only Sam Fender song that should have been 10+ weeks at #1 is Seventeen Going Under.

Now that I can get behind, honestly that or getting started is also better imo.

I agree I would've preferred any other Sam song at number one but beggars can't be choosers!

Yeah in an alternate universe ‘Seventeen Going Under’ fighting for a seventeenth week instead would’ve been fitting lol

We desperately need something mega to rock the boat.

And this applies to the worldwide charts rn in general, like a new fresh top pop act

I’m surprised People Watching is on the verge of dropping out of the album chart seeing as Rein Me In is still number 1. You’d think the album would be much higher than that. While Bryan Adams and Wet Wet Wet were number 1, their albums spent a few weeks at number 1 during their number 1 singles runs

New peaks and new entries outside the top 10:

#60 Audrey Hobert - Sue Me (+4)

#62 Cameron Whitcomb - Kingdom Of Fear (+1)

#66 Beyoncé - MORNING DEW (DONK) (NEW)

#76 DJ Goja - Mi Chico (+4)

#77 Jonas Blue & Malive - Edge Of Desire (+5)

#82 Josh Baker & Poppy Baskcomb - My Place (NEW)

#84 pupsies - misery. (NEW)

#88 HUGEL & SOLTO - Jamaican (Bam Bam) (+2)

#90 Fenix Flexin & Purps On The Beat - RUBBERZ (NEW)

#92 Ella Langley - weren't for the wind (NEW)

Also:

#43 Robyn - Dancing On My Own (RE)

#58 Kyla - Do You Mind (RE)

And People Watching. I wouldn’t mind some of his songs from his first album cracking the top 40 for the first time

My only guess would be that since it's only Rein Me In that's seeing the boost right now, the rest of the album isn't feeling that same love.
