This will be the first time that these teams have faced each other in an World Cup since 1966.

For Spain, this is their second World Cup final, their first since 2010 when they beat Netherlands 1-0 in extra time in an bad tempered final.

For Argentina, this is their sixth World Cup final, their second in a row, as they hope to become only the third team to retain the World Cup, this haven't been since Brazil in 1962.

The game will be at 8pm (UK Time) on Sunday live simultaneously on BBC and ITV.

For the first time, there is an halftime show for the World Cup final. which could be anything which after speculation that it wouldn't be shown live for UK viewers, BBC and ITV will be showing it.

Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who has contributed to the World Cup from regular posters, once every 2 years and new posters. It has been enjoyable.

Crazy how these 2 giants have managed to avoid each other so often, it's like how Brazil and (West/)Germany have only played each twice at World Cups despite being the 2 most successful countries ever.

I'd love another 6-goal thriller like the past 2 WC finals but I just don't see it this time.

I read a few days ago that no host nation has ever entered a World Cup as defending champions but Spain will become the first to do that if they win on Sunday as they are one of the three hosts of the 2030 World Cup.

Not sure if I’d rather Spain win narrowly after 120 mins and penalties, or them winning by a massive margin.

The winning team will be presented with World Cup rings which is apparently a tradition in American sport. So the players and staff on the winning team will have rings, medals and a trophy. Getting through the airport metal detector will be a challenge for them haha.

Better team, MUCH more difficult route.

Argentina have had a cake walk of a draw that they have made so damn difficult. Cape Verde had them WORRIED, Egypt had awful ref'ing decisions go against them, Switzerland ran out of steam and England made them look bang average for 75 minutes and suffocated their star player, until the worst tactical display you will ever see from a manager.

And honestly, I don't even want it to be close. I want it to be Germany/Brazil 7-1 vibes.
