Given the rumours about Madonna’s last minute decisions this era I wouldn’t be surprised if the label wanted to wait until physicals were ready and she just told them to release it this week anyway, resulting in a rush to have physicals ready. It would explain why it’s seeming so uncoordinated and the change from the plastic to the cardboard cases.

i personally doubt she'd personally be dealing with this kind of release strategy and CD dispatch dates etc. I'd think this is more Warner level rather than anything to do with her.

Do we think Madonna would care/know about the CD singles? I get her changing her mind and making last minute decisions about bigger things just can imagine her being that invested in the release of £1.99 CD singles.

No well that’s what I mean she probably wanted the song released this week and didn’t care about marketing, so her team have been scrambling to get the CDs out ASAP. She definitely doesn’t know or care about the CDs existence lol
