As said already it does highlight how week downloads are now but 10 years ago the soaps were boosting songs to the high ends of the chart too. I remember Gods and Monsters by Lana Del Rey made the official Top 40 in 2014 after it’s use in an EastEnders advert and Yours by Ella Henderson had a big boost the same year due to its use in a poignant Hollyoaks scene.

I mean we did get Michael McDonald, Oasis and Green Day in the chart in the last few years due to adverts and soon Chappell Roan could follow suit

I seem to remember that David Guetta & Emeli Sande song getting quite a nice boost from Eastenders a few years ago too though I can't remember how much of an impact it had in terms of actual chart position!
