This round we see their debut single leaving. This single became a steady top 20 hit in the UK but had even more succes in other countries (like a #1 in Australia). Nowdays it’s their most remembered and streamed song. A little overrated? Maybe. Not the ultimate overrated Steps single in our opinion though.

The point was that Better The Devil was done only 9 years after Kylie's version so didn't feel ready to be covered.

Tragedy was 20 years after Bee Gees

Chain Reaction was 16 years after Diana Ross.

And also, they didn’t put their own stamp on the song if you ask me. I don’t mind their version, but the song was good anyway (so it would take a lot to ruin it).

Kylies version was before my time (yes by a whole 8 months before i get a sarcastic reply )tbf so I found them in reverse

But i get your point im sure other songs have been covered faster but cant think of 1 of the top of my head 😅
