Classic Taylor blocking an up and coming band for another number one that she doesn’t need. It would’ve meant a lot more to Keo.

How is it unfair if old music is still popular?

Ain't In LA ain't gonna be in the top 10, is it? I prefer it to Nicole Kidman the song not the actress.

Also much prefer Ain't In LA to Nicole Kidman. I can't understand why the latter is much more successful in the UK.

Oh, Sombr and Dua out of the top 10 nocheerTaylor always doing the devil's work.

Depends on your definition of "fair". The highest streamed songs getting the highest positions isn't necessarily fair for reasons me and Dan have outlined in this thread. The fair solution is to ban old music from the chart.

Modifying the chart even more than it already is doesn't seem like a way of making it any less of a mockery.

The most viable solution is for streaming services to do their bit and prioritise promoting newer stuff on their platforms. Quite how we get them to do that is another thing entirely.

Considering there are 3 new TS songs and Ashe only fell one place she's doing well

Biography

Slovakian singer ADÉLA mixes electronic pop with alternative influences, relying on striking beats, synthesizers, and a darker, more provocative atmosphere. Self-taught in English since childhood and a fan of pop divas like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Madonna, ADÉLA turned early setbacks into momentum. Eliminated from the reality show Dream Academy in 2023, she gained visibility as a solo artist, leveraging the exposure to release her first singles, "Homewrecked" and “Superscar." In early 2025, the singer released her third single, “MachineGirl,” co-produced by Grimes. In May, ADÉLA signed with Capitol and Polydor and subsequently released her first EP, The Provocateur, in August. - Apple Music

Way more enjoyable than Ain't In LA, glad it squeezed top 5!

okay?? this was #6 among chart-elgible SCR tracks on Spotify and consistently around #10 on Apple Music - was its Amazon streaming THAT BAD?

Would guess Taylor's Amazon streaming or Thursday estimates were very good

Of course there are two completely different versions of this song: the streaming version - with the Don't interrupt me bit - and the physical vinyl and CD version - with a different second verse.

The album is pretty awesome. I'm always playing it, its nice listening to new talent

Biography

Olivia Rodrigo recognises that the yearning, melancholy aspect of her love songs is key to their intense emotional appeal—beginning with 2021’s weepy smash, “drivers license”. “I think that grounds it in something real,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2026, “and that’s why we resonate with those types of songs so much.” Born in 2003 in Murrieta, California, Rodrigo juggled childhood lessons in piano, voice and acting before starring in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and eventually turning to pop music with an abashed passion for seething ’90s alt-rock. Rodrigo was only 18 when she released her debut album, SOUR, a breakup record with a meticulous rage: “Where’s my f***ing teenage dream?” she wondered on “brutal”, the album’s Elastica-recalling opener. GUTS followed in 2023, with Rodrigo and repeat producer/collaborator Dan Nigro placing her pointillistic lyrics in an expanded sonic palette that incorporated influences from off-kilter ’90s acts like The Breeders and B******e Surfers. In the same 2026 interview, she described each of her albums as a journey of self-discovery—including that year’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Observing that it’s the first album she’d made as a woman in her twenties, Rodrigo hinted at how she traded angst for joy on several tracks. But even then, there should still be enough visceral realism to keep fans poring over every lyrical detail. - Apple Music

I knew all of Taylor's tracks would be ahead but I was surprised it was behind the cure and Boston - I guess the streams are pretty close and those two do better elsewhere than ADELA so it makes sense
