i really doubt VS is gonna help tate here, the only artist its probably gonna help will be JADE given how viral Angel Of My Dreams is going now

No idea what you're talking about but the fact that she jumped to number 1 on AM around the world and the big increase on Spotify, again, everywhere after the show, pretty much proves that it's doing great to the song for sure.

Spotify charts running late because they need to make sure they count all of JADE's streams so she can get that #1 re-entry with 500k+ streams on UK Spotify 🥹

No shade for sure, and it was doing great since day 1 but the VS buzz helped it a lot also.

Was a bit out of the loop with the VS stuff but would be great to see Angel Of My Dreams back in the Spotify 200!

Big news..

Angel of My Dreams re-enters UK Apple Music at #159 cheeseblock

Up to #110! Also up to #107 on US pop

Really liking Tate's new song. Would love Olivia & Chappell to get to #1 this week with physicals then Tate next week.

Nice to see new music doing good numbers. Dominic Fike's album releases on the 30/10 so perhaps he'll get to #1 that week with the album boost? Would be great to have a quick turnaround at the top:

"Expectations" -> "Housewife" -> "Babydoll" -> "Thriller"?!

Then with a push maybe, just maybe, "Thriller" #1? 👀

Not sure if you're really expecting a Dominic Fike album release to give a big enough boost to his 8 year old song for it to go to #1 or if you have merged Dominic Fike and Jamie Miller into one entity in your mind. kink

If 'Thriller' does make it to #1, it'll be in 2 weeks after this Friday's chart, not 3. Though I'm not sure it's chances are looking as realistic now that there are a few songs pulling bigger numbers than anything did a few weeks ago.

Angel of My Dreams is up to 88 on Apple Music (uk)!

Surely it must be close to entering the top 200 at this point?!?

Cutoff is #42 so at this rate of gaining, in about 1-2 updates I imagine!!

Surely Thriller won't be #1. It did 20.5k last year, it would need to double that to be #1. I can see an increase to 30k.

its current numbers at this stage are probably close to double those it was doing last year - it was already #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop genre chart last week (would be ~#50 on the main chart) when in the same week last year it was #47 on the genre chart!

I’m hoping If You Leave Me Now by Chicago and Ooh La La by Goldfrapp make an impact in the coming weeks as both feature prominently in the new Clayface film which is out on Friday

If only FUFN could have got this resurgence instead and go on to become the top 10 smash it should rightfully have been!

Michael"s entire catalogue has been boosted this year thanks to the movie so is giving "Thriller" a bigger foundation.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did 35-40k this year - which may be good enough for #1 if the likes of Tate/Olivia/Chappell/Jamie (not Dominic 😭) fall off a bit by then.

I've lost all sense of time as well. Forgot Halloween is next week Friday...I should just retire at this point. Bring me to the buzzjack nursing home where I can relive the 2007-2012 music landscape on loop 👴🏻

it might challenge for #1 in the US too given it's predicted to re-enter the top 50 of the Hot 100 this tracking week - three weeks before Halloween itself! 💀 (it would've already been on chart there for the past two weeks were it not for Billboard's recurrency rules!)

also Halloween is next Saturday not Friday 😭

Are you sure? On Spotify, Billie Jean is still by far his most popular song (2.9M vs. 2.4M in a week) and even that wasn't eligible last week.

Not saying it won't get a huge boost but it won't help in the US that YouTube does not count.

both Billie Jean and Thriller were chart ineligible the last two weeks as neither had enough points to reach the threshold needed to get out of recurrency (#25 for Billie Jean, #50 for Thriller respectively). Billie Jean was still performing a fair bit better than Thriller last week but Thriller has reached 40+ points for the past two weeks (the Hot 100 cutoff for the past two weeks was ~29 points) so it would have charted were it not a seasonal recurrent. early predictions have Thriller projected to reach the top 50 (and as such get out of recurrency) at ~#45 this week. it's worth bearing in mind that Spotify is Thriller's weakest platform in the US too - it's been charting much higher than Billie Jean on US Apple Music for the past few weeks.

Thriller was on 110 points last Halloween week mostly from Friday/Halloween day streams alone - given it's on a Saturday this year it could well double its points total (though it would need a ~2.5x increase to properly challenge for the #1)
