With the second celebrity series now complete, I wanted to reflect on all of the UK Traitors series so far, both civilian and celebrity. I have put together a rank of all traitors thus far, across every series, whether an original traitor or a recruit down the line! This is up to the second series of The Celebrity Traitors, so it will include spoilers if you've not seen the entire thing (and this applies to all of the UK series so far too!).

This countdown is based on how good a traitor I believe they were, which takes into account the following areas (not necessarily an exhaustive list!):

  • How far they got in the game

  • How much influence and sway they had amongst both faithful and traitors

  • Whether they made positive moves to forward themselves

  • How strategic they were

I've not based this on entertainment value or how much I like them as individuals, as the rank would look fairly different if so! This is also entirely subjective and not based on any quantifiable criteria, just my own personal opinion!

Would love to hear your predictions and thoughts along the way - please do share what you think and whether you agree or disagree with me!

Well there’s a clear last place 😅. Here for this though!

The Celebrity Traitors Series 2

Episodes: 1-3

Placement: 20th

There's an obvious last place as I'm sure everyone's expecting, given Richard E. Grant outed himself as a traitor within minutes of being selected as one! It was a comically terrible move that unfortunately set the tone for a lot of what followed in the second celebrity series. As likeable as Richard was, and as hilarious as his confession was, it's obviously the first rule of being a traitor to not reveal your identity (not that Richard even got as far as the oath before this happened lol). I think Richard could've been a good traitor going forward, as he and Maya were different personalities and that could have worked to their advantage, but it wasn't to be and I can't rate him based on unused potential. An iconic last place for all the wrong reasons!

Placement: 8th

Diane isn't part of the traitor line-up, but Ross is! Though it's not a particularly favourable outcome for his brief stint as a traitor. Recruited by Harry and Andrew to serve as nothing more than a sacrificial lamb, Ross actually spent most of his time on the show as a likeable (if not particularly strategic) faithful, albeit probably in the shadow of his mum, one of the most iconic contestants in the show's history. As a traitor, Ross was doomed from the start, having been certain that banished traitor Paul was a faithful, and his fellow traitors were happy to throw him under the bus after a failed attempt at stirring the pot between them. Not much Ross could have done in terms of strategy given he had so little time to make his mark, being banished at his first roundtable after his recruitment, but his short tenure went pretty much as badly as you could expect. I couldn't help feeling a little sorry for him though, having to stand up and say he was a traitor at the end despite being a faithful for about 90% of his time in there!

Freddie not bottom 2 o

Saved by the shower scene!

To be fair Ross I think would've been alright, but there was already heat on him and he was effectively thrown under the bus. Similar to Freddie, who was recruited basically to just be banished.

I hated Diane and the gays' obsession with her being MOTHER when she was nasty and crusty and shit and boring~

I met her at an event last year... and she was just as cold and stand-offish in person too.

Yeah it irritated me slightly that Diane became the media darling for that series when there really wasn’t much to her. Thankful she didn’t rock up on Uncloaked over the last few weeks (unless I forgot that she did)

Placement: 6th

Another sacrificial lamb! With Minah banished, sole remaining traitor Charlotte needed to offer an ultimatum to a faithful with just a couple of roundtables left to go. Unfortunately for Freddie, not only did he have little time to settle into the role, but he'd also been well and truly set up by Charlotte! They chose to murder Leanne, but Charlotte, and almost everyone else, knew she had a shield, whilst Freddie (and faithful Alexander) did not. Unable to defend himself without getting trapped in a lie, Freddie was banished at his first roundtable as a traitor. The only thing separating him from Ross for me is that Freddie was screwed from the start, and it wasn't really his fault, while Ross actively tanked his game despite already not being in the best of spots. I did feel bad for Freddie though, he was a pawn in Charlotte's game and didn't really get to make any moves as a traitor, when I think an earlier recruitment under better circumstances could've seen him settle in better.

Surprised you didn't use a different pic...

But yeah Freddie was basically just a pawn for Charlotte to be banished/ put suspicion elsewhere.

Be interesting to see where James is placed!

I'm guessing Ash and Armani will be out soon too as they had fairly short runs.
