The green vinyl has sold out on their official store! Still available elsewhere, but hopefully it selling out on the store is a good sign that they’re selling better than expected?

Incredibly random observation, regarding Pointer Sisters and Girls Aloud's versions of Jump:

 

More time has passed since Girls Aloud charted with Jump, than the length of time between The Pointer Sisters' original release and Girls Aloud's!

 

Pointer Sisters version entered the UK chart at #24 on 17th June 1984, while Girls Aloud went to #2 on 23rd November 2003. That's a gap of 19 years, 5 months, 6 days.

 

It's been 19 years, 5 months, 16 days since Girls Aloud's version entered the chart!

 

 

(However, I should point out that Pointer Sisters' Jump was first released as part of their album in November 1983 - so Jump isn't yet quite as old overall as Pointer Sisters version was back in November 2003 - there's a 20 years and 11 days gap between those releases).

Nice stats. I still prefer Girls Aloud version.

The next release will be No Good Advice (Flip & Fill Remix) on 2nd June, according to andru on Popjustice!

 

I'm guessing that is when we could expect the music video remaster... maybe a remix video as well, with previously unseen footage? :thinking: (No idea, just speculating!)

It would be great if all that happens and might help it improve on streaming for a dew weeks if nothing else.

20 years ago on this date, 26th May, Girls Aloud released their debut album Sound of the Underground!

What a rollercoaster 20 years it has been since this album hit the shelves, its incredibly sad that Sarah is no longer here to celebrate such a big milestone.

:cry: It really is. I appreciate that they're marking their anniversary in the way they are, but it's tinged with sadness.

 

I hope the re-release does well for them - it's 3 weeks until its release now.

I wonder how pre orders are going for the album, hopefully it is building well.
