Watched the episode on E4.

OMG! Jacqui is such a cow, how could she leave Myra to die. Seriously wish it was her instead of Tina that had died.

Tina's death was so touching, i was nearly crying and i never do this usually.

I agree - it was one of the best Hollyoaks episodes I have seen!

^ I know right! But at the same time, I can kind of understand - imagine if your mother said she would prefer you dead over one of one your siblings. Annoyed that Niall survived too <_< Was hoping it was finally the end of him! Ah well, glad all the decent people survived. Tina's death would've been more sad to me if I didn't see it coming :( I wish I didn't spoil it for myself now

Hollyoaks has proven why it is so deserving of the Best Soap awards over the likes of Coro and Eastenders - Which are boring now! <_<

Can't wait for the late night episodes! Also,

JACK! :o Everyone knows he's alive now... INCLUDING POLICE! Can't wait to see everything unravel now!

At the end of the E4 episode you saw his reflection in the back window of the ambulance :(

:o I missed that - damn Niall

Niall's back for the late night specials isnt he. His reflection in the ambulance was very creepy.

Hollyoaks always does this.

They always like to bring their villains back from the dead one last time. Claire, Andy, and now Niall. I heard he takes Steph hostage or something in the late nights?

Anyway, tonight's episode. The guy playing Niall was FANTASTIC. Loved how most of the McQueen secrets came tumbling out, had actually almost forgotten about Mercedes sleeping with Tony until she said it. And the moment when Jacqui and Carmel realised their mum had chosen them to die was GUT-WRENCHING. Also liked Michaela running back for her family, would have expected her to have fled as soon as she could for her own safety.

But a massive LOL at the "special" effects. Those pigeons were RIDICULOUS.

Out of all the Mcqueen sisters the only one i would have wanted 2 die was Tina, but after the watching the episode last night I would have happily swapped Tina for Jacqui. Tina being carried out dead by Dom brought a tear to my eye - which is something TV never does to me.

Missed it yesterday. :( Watching it today, looks good!

To be fair though, although Jacqui's reaction was harsh, she's had some very harsh things happen to her. She's just found out her sister and boyfriend cheated on her, and her own mother selected Jacqui as one of the ones to die. I'd feel aggreived in that situation too. I think it would have been unrealistic for there not to have been any backlash from Jacqui or Carmel.

It was nice to see Tina redeemed herself at the end, it made her death all the more tragic. She finally appeared to appreciate Dom, and the only reason she died was because she was the first one to rush to help John-Paul.

AMAZING episode. I dont think that was Nial physically, it was just to represent him always being there in peoples heads mentally. He finished up at Hollyoaks a while ago and hasnt been back since.

A week of high drama on Hollyoaks brought in huge audiences to E4 as viewers clamoured to see the channel's first-look episodes.

The storyline saw psychopath Niall (Barry Sloane) exact revenge on his mother Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane), her five daughters and son John Paul (James Sutton) after holding them hostage in a derelict church.

The plot was stripped across the week's five episodes and included several explosive scenes and the death of a key character. E4, which premieres new episodes daily at 7pm, benefited the most from the heightened interest.

Thursday's episode was the most watched of the week, with an average of 1.46m (8.4%) and a further 408,000 (2.2%) on timeshift service E4+1.

Tuesday's episode pulled in 1.24m (7%) and 209,000 (1.1%); Wednesday's instalment was seen by 1.32m (7.6%) and 265,000 (1.4%); and Friday's first-look had 1.15m (6.7%) and 133,000 (0.7%).

Typically, E4's screenings of Hollyoaks average around 800,000 viewers. The audience was up a massive 86% week-on-week.

The audience for the Channel 4 broadcasts was up 19% week-on-week despite the increased viewership for E4. The most-watched episode of the week was Monday's instalment, with 2.11m (10.4%) and 62,000 (0.3%) on timeshift.

In Hollyoaks Ravi (Stephen Uppall) gets the wrong end of the stick and tires to kiss Russ (Stuart Manning). In the heat of the moment, Russ isn't exactly sure of his true feelings, but pulls away at the last minute before they lock lips. Is this the beginning of a long-running arc for Stuart and Russ? I'm told not. Although I can't see the storyliners not exploring Ravi's apparent bisexual tendencies. Maybe when Spike returns?
