Loving the way Neighbours have brought in some of the characters from back in its heyday, we currently have Jane, Des, and Clive and now Melanie is back, these along with Paul really bring such a familiarity to the show and im really enjoying it.

Loved the neighbours nod using stefan dennis single dont it make you feel good in a lip sync scene with paul robinson commenting on it.

Pretty outrageous, those involved need to be disciplined at the very least, or better - suspended.

As for what Nicola Charles said, that's crazy too. I wonder if those actors are still among the cast - probably not. They have had quite a few British actors in it since, including Jenna Donovan at the moment, and Denise Van Outen played her mother.

It’s appalling that any of this has been going on behind the scenes. Neighbours generally presents itself and a very inclusive soap these days so it’s especially awful if that’s just a front.

And another, from Sharon Johal, who played Dipi and has just left:

Some of these comments are honestly disgraceful and disgusting, I think whoever was behind them should be named, shamed and sacked frankly. Makes me feel uneasy watching Neighbours knowing that no action has been taken against these people, who haven't even been named.

The Australian soap - which first aired on BBC One in the UK in 1986 - is set to come to an end this Summer.

Channel 5 producers have reportedly spent weeks in talks with producers at Fremantle Australia to strike a deal to keep the series on air, but those talks have reportedly failed.

A source told The Sun: "The cast and crew in Melbourne haven’t been told about the decision. They will be devastated. Neighbours is an institution people grew up with...

"Channel 5 pay Fremantle Australia many millions of pounds every year and, sadly, there’s a shortfall of about £5million in what it brings back in through advertising. There’s a lot of disbelief and sadness among those who know it’s ending...

"They are currently in the process of approaching a number of former cast members, including Kylie, to make a special return. Now it’s the end, it really would be something special to have her back in Ramsay Street one last time."

For now, Neighbours aired weeknights at 6pm on Channel 5.

It would a huge shame to see it go but at the same time i wouldn't be shocked but i would have thought home and away would have been the first of the 2 to get axed, i could be wrong but i think from a ratings point of view neighbours is far more popular in the UK although i think home and away is ahead of it in Australia. I watched the show for years then stopped watching it for years but got back into it again in the run up to the 30th and have kept watching it since.
Noooo, I hope not! Some of the storylines have been poor recently but it's such an institution.
I've not watched it in years but that's a shame when other soaps are still ongoing that are way older. Was a staple of my childhood Soaps wise.

Seems Colette Mann (Sheila) has left the show quickly and in a very low key fashion (staying in LA to help a grieving Naomi), and won't be coming back. Not sure what happened there. She's no longer in the opening credits as of today either.
Ya i read she was gone and thought something big must have happened behind the scenes for such a low ley exit.

Yeah, I couldn't see any channel wanting to take on a loss-making show. Bbtory should probably have picked it up and tried to build it up from its established base. It might have got it up to 5 million-ish viewers, taking over EE, if it chose the right time. Maybe even 6.30 7pm to elad into EE...
