If this is looking like an ending of sorts for Harold, I hope they get Sky back for it, not least so that she can appear as Sky again rather than the Robocop she was last time.

Intrigued as to what will happen with Mike and Jane.

Not gonna lie, I'm bored shitless. Outside of Harold's storyline I'm finding everything as dull as dishwater :drama:

There’s enough to keep me interested I think. I do think it’s difficult to come back after a cancellation or something similar. I remember it took me a while to get back into the groove with my other soaps, Eastenders and Pobol y Cwm, when they came back after lockdown. Apparently we are due a flashback week to fill in some of the gaps which I think will help and I think the school story is meant to be a pretty big one.

It does feel a bit like we’ve missed all the interesting stuff offscreen which is weirdly how the Star Wars sequel trilogy felt.

I kinda feel the same and if it goes on much longer i think they will lose out on all the good that the show had built up, the Mike and Jane storyline people will tune for but they need to have other stuff going on that will keep the viewers interested so they will stay with the show once the Mike and Jane storyline concludes.

!!!

She's the only reason I'm watching. This is really boong.

But Marissa has great acting range. She just keeps it low-key. Look, she can switch from comedy to drama in a nanosecond:

The Varga-Murphy kids are terrible  I can't at Dex seemingly being offended over the fact he got a text message that consisted of, ya know, WORDS!! :drama:

I think Mike will be killed off.

Yeah, it's looking that way :(

I think JJ is quite good... apart from when he had to do angry acting at Dex. But yeah Dex isn't the strongest.

The Mums are good though! As a family though I like them!

I think the main issue at the moment is the show is missing a couple of the more outlandish vibrant characters.

Unless there are surprises in store, it seems we've lost Amy, Nicolette and Melanie. And in their place we have a perfectly pleasant but not exactly kooky new family, and Mischa Barton looking very bored.

I could also do without the nonsense dog plot, which I assume is the show wanting to make a callback to the Bouncer days. It's not so much the dog that's the problem, but it's required Haz to seem like an utter DIMWIT from the very get-go, and I don't think that's actually meant to be his character.

The theme tune is terrible.

Plus points though

I'm not totally hating the Toadie and Terese coupling. Terese and Paul should never have reunited in the finale - Paul had done absolutely nothing to warrant the sudden forgiveness. And Terese already feels a much LIGHTER character.

The Rodwells finally getting some limelight, and actually given how little time they actually spent together first-time around, I think they have pretty good chemistry. Emerald Chan has improved considerably as an actress. Wendy's a hoot. Also forget Byron - Andrew is absolutely the eye candy of the show

Wendy definitely had the potential to become a ‘kooky’ character like what we need. I am very much enjoying seeing the Rodwells as a proper family rather than a gapfill before the show ended. I’m enjoying the new family too and I think they’re just taking time to settle in.

Toadie and Terese is getting marginally better but I think that’s because of Nell and the Melanie mentions, we’re no longer being sold the ‘perfect’ couple when they don’t feel right.

Jane being back is great, concerned something will happen to Mike but perhaps not if his trip is for a while. Guy Pearce could always come back briefly again and come up with another reason for him to be gone. I’m looking forward to the school storyline even though we’ve sort of seen it before (2015 anyone?) because it’s interesting to see Terese on the opposing side, seemingly with little involvement from Paul.

Mischa Barton is the biggest weakness because of her shocking acting. I kind of feel sorry for the new Byron as she really isn’t giving him anything to work with in what should be big scenes.

Yeah it's up and down at the moment, I think Melanie is coming back at least in some capacity as she's been seen filming on the set. Agree that they need a couple more lighthearted characters as it's all a bit glossy and serious at the moment, but without any major drama - when an accusation of a stolen watch has caused the biggest friction so far, you know things have been a bit slow-paced.

The Terese/Jane showdown seemed interesting though, while Jane has got a bit moany and whiny since she returned years ago, undoubtedly she's one of the more interesting characters to watch as she's just so different to the rest of the cast - I'm glad they kept her in it even if Mike isn't sticking around.

And I do like the new family so far, mostly Cara and Remi, and I like that the Rodwells (espcially Wendy) have more of a role. I'm also glad Harold's storyline isn't what it initially seemed.

Mischa Barton doesn't fit. Leo seems to need something to do, for one of the returning core cast members, he's barely been seen so I guess something must be on the way for him.

Leo not having anything to do was an issue before the show was dropped. The way he was shoe horned I got the baby swap storyline seemed forced and far fetched. He’s essentially there to be Paul’s token kid since the others aren’t around yet he’s probably the least interesting. Mackenzie has mentioned Hendrix dozens of times since the show returned but Leo also lost a partner around the same time and she hasn’t been mentioned at all.

Mel does need to come back soon. I’m hoping she’ll move in with Jane and Sam.

I never liked Leo as a character and he was the one i was hoping that wouldnt be part of the reboot.

I actually feel this is picking up quite a bit now in terms of quality.

Reece’s story is getting pretty interesting even though Mischa Barton still acts like she’s in another room.

Probably ill judged to squeeze a half hearted tribute to a character vacuum like Britney into an episode that so heavily featured references to Sonya’s death-gah, it’s too soon to revisit those clips, I forgot how realistic it was!

And I also need drunk Jane to appear frequently.

I’m positive I remember on Sonya and Todie in the episode Sonya passed away. I didn’t think Nell was at the beach.

She was as she said. She was playing with Callum and Hugo. Toadie and Sonya watched them playing from afar as Sonya died in his arms.
