August 9, 200718 yr does that snow patrol chasing cars ever p*** off its been here for 13 months now come on who hasn't got it by now it should be something like top 140. It's hard to believe that there are people out there that haven't heard it yet :o
August 9, 200718 yr Robyn would make the first genuinely GREAT No1 this year (who'd have thought ANYBODY would be saying that 10 years ago). OUTRAGE if Kanye West gets it with his $h!te. Ban chavs from the internet! I find it amusing that a one hit wonder (in the UK) pop wannabe from 1998 has returned with one of the biggest tunes of the year...and either people don't remember her from the first time around or they think that she's been in hiding for the past 9 years doing nothing
August 9, 200718 yr Kanye is taking a laaaaarge lead on I-tunes, I fear Robyn will deffo not be #1 :(
August 9, 200718 yr It has been over a year for Chasing Cars now but it got deleted for a few weeks or something before the new rules caused it to re-enter. -_- I fear Robyn could even be #3 by Sunday - Timbaland isn't that far behind. :(
August 9, 200718 yr The only reason Kanye will be no1 by sunday is because he's mainstream, all the genuine Robyn fans would have downloaded there copy last week. And sadly, I don't think that there's many of them.
August 9, 200718 yr interesting facts from reiss at chart refugees. i've just read that linkin park bleed it out is out 20th august and yesterday was top 115. maroon 5 - wake up call which is out 27th august - top 175.
August 9, 200718 yr The only reason Kanye will be no1 by sunday is because he's mainstream, all the genuine Robyn fans would have downloaded there copy last week. And sadly, I don't think that there's many of them. I doubt it's just selling to Robyn fans, it has large mainstream appeal as well what with it being used by pretty much everything to do with the BBC ;)
August 9, 200718 yr Yes, but many more people have heard Robyn than Kanye, and it's not just to fans...
August 9, 200718 yr I hope we get an update today... this week's chart battle is the most interesting for a LONG time...
August 9, 200718 yr You ask, here it is: Singles Thursday update Top 5 Robyn with Kleerup 16.7k Timbaland ft. Keri Hilson 15.8k Kate Nash Kanye West 13k Top 10 Plain White T's Top 15 Beyonce Rihanna - Shut Up And Drive Top 20 Darren Hayes Elliot Minor Top 30 The Simpsons Amy Winehouse Mario Top 40 David Guetta ft. Chris Willis Top 75 Robyn - KB Gossip - Standing... Eve Snow Patrol Axwell Albums someone else can do :P Source: Reiss at Chart Refugees
August 9, 200718 yr its definitely Robyn vs Kanye. The gap was about 5k, now its 3.7, so he's closing in on her. I'll keep hope and say she'll beat him off this week
August 9, 200718 yr Woooh for Eve in the Top 75 already B) Top 40 on Sunday hopefully! And I'm thinking now Kanye will definitely be at the top...
August 9, 200718 yr Today's midweeks - Yesterday's midweeks = Wednesday's sales: Robyn 16.7K - 12.1K = 4.6K Kanye 13.0K - 6.9K = 6.1K So Kanye has gained c. 1,500 copies in a day. If you count Sunday - Wednesday as four days & Thursday, Friday with Saturday counting double for sales then we are now halfway (4/8ths) through the sales week. Therefore I project using Wednesday's sales this result on Sunday's chart: Robyn 16.7k + (4.6k*4) 18.4k = 35.1K Sales Kanye 13.0k + (6.1k*4) 24.4k = 37.4K Sales Therefore, I now fear that on Sunday we'll be celebrating the worst #1 of 2007 so far in the UK instead of the best #1 of 2007 so far. :manson:
August 9, 200718 yr GO KANYE I hope it gets number one, it's easily on of the defining tunes of 2007 [and yes don't start with the whole Daft Punk sample thing. I'M AWARE].
