September 26, 200718 yr Author High School Musical 2 makes singles impact 26 September, 2007 Source: Music Week By Martin Talbot The High School Musical 2 soundtrack looks set for a massive impact on the singles rundown this weekend, with midweek data showing 10 tracks in the Top 75. The Disney Channel movie, which screened for the first time last Friday night, has already produced one of the biggest compilations of the year, in the form of the soundtrack album – which will have sold more than 200,000 units after seven weeks on the chart by this coming Sunday. The first HSM album has also sold 780,000 units, including 240,000 this year alone. Now, at least two tracks from that album look set to chart in the Top 40, led by You Are The Music In Me and Gotta Go My On Way, by characters Gabriella and Troy. In addition, the tracks Everyday, I Dont Dance, Bet On It, Fabulous, What Time Is It, Work This Out, You Are The Music In Me and All For One are all vying to chart within the Top 75. Breaking Free, one of the main hits from the first movie, is also registering towards the bottom of the Top 200. Elsewhere on the charts, the Foo Fighters look set enter the albums chart at one on Sunday, with over-the-counter sales likely to surpass the 118,000 achieved by James Blunt last week. In turn, Shayne Ward and Sugababes are battling to end Sean Kingston’s four-week run at the top of the charts.

September 26, 200718 yr What a depressing week... sucks about Fedde Le Grand, thought he had a sure-fire top 10 on his hands but due to the i-Tunes c**k-up, its not to be sadly. At least its top 20 I guess... Horrible top 2 :puke2: Edited September 26, 200718 yr by rossyboy88

September 26, 200718 yr dude, the babes are only 2700 behind <_< That said 11K for Shayne Ward yesterday!
September 26, 200718 yr Note: Shayne Ward is also listed Top 30, he was listed Top 30 yesterday as well, but I wasn't too sure if the track would be combined, they will both chart separately Is that why Shayne was 1oK, then 11K then 10K again yesterday
September 26, 200718 yr hmm... excuse my ignorance but I don't live in the UK and I have never heard of Shayne Ward. Who exactly is he? Another singer to come out of a reality tv contests?
September 26, 200718 yr Author Is that why Shayne was 10K, then 11K then 10K again yesterday Yes, I didn't know if the top 30 version was combined or not
September 26, 200718 yr Author hmm... excuse my ignorance but I don't live in the UK and I have never heard of Shayne Ward. Who exactly is he? Another singer to come out of a reality tv contests? Yes ITV's X Factor series, he was last year's winner
September 26, 200718 yr Come on Sugababes, PLEASE stop Shayne Bloody Ward being #1! :( I don't think Sugababes can overtake Shayne this week, he's doing two signings in Ireland now, as well as the Dublin one at 4pm tomorrow, he's now added another signing for Saturday morning in Belfast 9-11am, Louis Walsh promotes Shayne over there as "an Irish boy" and over here as a "Manchester lad".
