November 25, 200717 yr as an extension on the above, any more feedback on the site uptime/ performance right now? Would be good to have any input so I know if we are on track or not.
November 25, 200717 yr Just had no response from the site so had to retry. Does response fast when it responds but fails sometime maybe something of the order 1 in 200 clicks and not related to heavy traffic as happens off peak as well. Edited November 25, 200717 yr by e-motion
November 25, 200717 yr Haven't had any problems recently, and can't really judge accurately as my broadband connection keeps dropping off every few minutes at the moment
November 26, 200717 yr Also much more likely to fail when first making a connection or re-connection to the site. That would be consistent with previous fails which was greatly reduced by setting keep alive on. Suggest set off FrontPage (un/tick option in whm/cpanel) as this is likely checking each file load request and from experience does nothing at all useful in a forum environment as your not serving any frontpage extensions. Find info thread on apache (httpd.cnf) and check setting for SpareServers (min/max and start) and ChildSetting(forgot correct name). As in appears either a server is not responding or more correctly the child is not responding to the current connection in some situation.
November 27, 200717 yr increased the childprocesses. Keel Alive was already on - I remember issues with this with an old host that took many months to resolve ;) Rebooted the server and we will have to see where we are at. The biggest problem I am now finding is it never happens to me. At the beginning, agreed, i was getting it but now I dont at all. Very hard to debug something I cant see, also viewed error logs and nothing there...
November 28, 200717 yr don't know if it was just me with my dodgy modem, but the site failed to load for a minute, whereas BBC News did load
January 3, 200817 yr Author The page cannot be displayed Anybody else been getting this lately happen a few times yesterday and today and just now, I want to make sure its not just me, its funny though only happens on Buzzjack.
January 3, 200817 yr It always happens to me. I use Firefox and I'll get a "problem loading page" message numerous times a day. I have to refresh a few times or wait a few minutes for it to get back up. :(
January 3, 200817 yr OK guys our tech has now done some tweaks to the server. Let me know if the issues persist and I will have them look at it again.
January 7, 200817 yr updates on this please, how are we looking? If problems continue I will even go so far as to review hosting with this company!
January 7, 200817 yr I've actually had no problems at all with the site as yet. I don't know whether that's related to the fact that I use it less.
January 7, 200817 yr OK very good news. I have been speaking with the person managing the server and he has made some updates.
January 7, 200817 yr I got a "Could not display the Page" a few minutes ago and it happened yesterday aswell  Just once though after about 10 pages of clicking or so.. :\
