I might give the album another listen

Just listening to it now,

Half way through it, it's quite hard to get into, but it's got an amazing unplugged/acoustic sound to the album

I liked the singles from Supernature, but I never really bothered with them, I love A&E, and I'm listening to the album, it's not very good quality, but I like it so far, I may buy this :D

for those who missed it - the Goldfrapp 7th Tree 4Music special's now on YouTube - it was pretty special - so here's the clips...

A&E and Caravan Girl:

Enjoy

I am not a big fan of Goldfrapp in fact i dont like ANY of their singles! It wasnt until A&E that i was like WOW!! But is that enough to go and buy the album? I am debating whether to or not! Has anyone else bought it whos in the same position as me, didnt like them before but think theyre great now sort of thing??

It seems I'm one of the very few that prefer Goldfrapp in their electroclash style, as opposed to their more atmospheric sound? I'm just about to order their album from amazon so will get round to listening by this weekend with a bit of luck...

got the album last week with the box and dvd - but it willl be weeks before i get round to listening to it.

even tho i like a lot of electronic music and glam things i prefer the felt mountain sound...must say hooray for spacey theremin soundscapes

btw good to here a reference to electroclash on here tho

I watched that live perfomance at 4Music: absolutely GORGEOUS!

Alison is incredible! ^_^

^ metacritic.com = A great site, which captures reviews for albums from around the world.

Anyway, I love the album. Wonderfully pastoral and rustic with a neo-psychedelic edge. A massive return to form after the creative dead-end that was Supernature.

Disagree with that. Supernature was a good album, it's certainly not any worse than any of their others, just different.

And that site doesn;t exactly prove anything. Both Supernature and 7th Tree have the same score, and yes it does have higher member reviews I'd pay little attention to that considering the majority of the negative scores give no actual kind of review, it almost seems like they want to slate it for no reason.

^Thats like the second best song on there..well third, behing Eat yourself and A&E.

For me so far:

1. Cologne Cerrone Houdini

2. A&E

3. Caravan Girl

4. Monster Love

The rest.

I think Happiness is a truly great single - the only drawback is that it's a summery single - imagine singing and general drunken frivolity to it in, say, Glastonbury - perfect....

Eat Yourself is my other highlight - it's jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

The seventh tree has entered the billboard 200 at no.48!
Billboard.com says sales were around 15,000.

I think the best for me so far are:

1. Cologne Cerone Houdini

2. Happiness

3. Clowns

4. A&E

5. Little Bird

I think the album is truly stunning and probably the best album I have the pelasure to enjoy for a long while....
