It's kind of annoying that Britney only makes the Top 200 album charts if streaming is fully included towards one specific Greatest Hits album (at least I assume that's why she has suddenly re-appeared at #128 with The Essential). As the above shows, there's a major lack of consistency when it comes to whether or not The Essential gets much streaming data attached to it.

 

Presumably during May most streaming went towards The Singles Collection instead, or maybe even Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, but neither of these albums made the Top 200 chart in the past 6 weeks.

 

In yesterday's midweeks The Singles Collection is back, showing at #162 with 561 sales... and an increase of over 999% compared to the sales it had on the previous Wednesday, lol. This would mean The Singles Collection had sales of 51 or less in the Wednesday 10th June mids.

They really need to sort that out ^^

It sold 943 copies this week, meaning it had a total of 225,790 on 12th June. The last total we knew before that was 224,237 on 13th March. That was an increase of just 1,553 in 12 weeks (an average of 129 or 130 copies a week).

 

It's annoying that not much (or any?) streaming data is applied to this album over a period of weeks/months. Progress towards Platinum is going to be extremely slow. :( If it could maintain ~950 sales a week it would only take a year and a half to reach Platinum, but if it continues to be sporadic then it could be like 7 years at least, or even approaching a decade.

 

The low weekly average sales for both The Essential and The Singles Collections in the weeks where both albums are absent from the Top 200 makes me wonder if Greatest Hits: My Prerogative gets the data instead?

 

It seems that if Britney had just one Greatest Hits available then she would likely always do well enough to be Top 200.

I definitively think it's possible that Amy has passed My Prerogative with streaming included.

 

My Only Wish will go Silver either this or next year. I guess it depends on how streaming pans out this year.
