It's topics like this that make me feel young.

My first CD bought with my own money was The Corrs "Talk On Corners". And it remains my favourite today.

What a brilliant bunch of records! Just bought the other half the best of Japan DVD and it's fabulous watching Oil on Canvas again.

Fuzzbox

Timezone is an awesome record. Lydon and Bambataa work so well together on that.

As for me I can't remember what I bought on CD first. I know it was in 1991. Amongst the first was Fear Loves This Place by Julian Cope and a Sea Hags album. But they all got nicked about the week after I bought them by some scally who broke into our flat in Liverpool.

Thanks Grebo - and a big old Happy Birthday to ya :D
Thanks people! Nice to know there are some of us knocking on middle aged oldies knocking around on the board

Enrique - Escape haha. Oh good times..

I know there's no excuse for that but I was very young :P, and some of the songs were nice.

Erasure 'Chorus' in it's lovely limited edition box, still one of my favourite pop albums.
Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. when I was about 10 or so. I was such a gay child.

Haha.

No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom. I remember being disappointed that nothing else sounded like Don't Speak.
