It doesn't matter if it climbs, its HOW MUCH it climbs that will determine if its regarded as a flop or not. The general media aren't interested because despite his fame the general public aren't interested - to NO-ONE's surprise (eg using a pavement 100ft below to protect his kid's safety should an accidental drop occur) except delusional MJ fanatics out of touch with reality.
