I hope the Madonna single flops dramatically.*

*And this is coming from her biggest fan. :P

By the way, first time ever that a song has gone straight onto the A-List since Kylie's Slow. Shows how original Radio 1 is then. :teresa:

Yay! ^_^

Wow for Madonna, I have yet to hear it. I'm not her biggest fan though, but I guess we'll see.

I hope Mariah makes the A-List soon.

:o Madonna YAY :cheer:

Will it be really available for download on the 26th March?

This playlist looks great! Goldfrapp C-List already! wow!

But there is one point i have to make... WHY THE FCUK havent they made Alphabeat A-List?? :( It upsets me that Hard-Fi are A-List but Alphabeat (Who are MUCH more successful with their new single) dont make the A-List???

Radio 1 are biased that's nothing new. They keed Hard-Fi on the A-list even though they're only top30 in the mids because they're a "cool" band.

It really annoys me! because Hard-Fi's New stuff is rubbish compared to their last stuff! But Alphabeat Ive heard about 4 more of their tracks and they are gonna be huge! Radio 1 need to start thinking about whats good and not whats "Cool"!

It also annoys me how they seem to A-List Girls Aloud whenever they are doing well in the charts and not before the song performs!

It's not down to being 'cool' or anything like that. Rather the demographic that Radio 1 is aiming toward. Radio 1 want to attract casual 14-30 yr old listenership, especially students who have a lot of free time in the day. So they playlist music that appeals toward these people. Radio 1 isn't a chart station and doesn't playlist upon what's being successful in the chart. Merely playing what their target demographic wishes to hear.

Alphabeat fit in far more readily with Radio 2's demographic and hence they've been A-Listed there.

that madonna song is so bad! can't believe it's already A-listed

So is it just a "Coincidence" that a group/artist like Girls Aloud ALWAYS seem to make A List as soon as their song charts well??

What more could Radio 1 do? It went from C-List > B-List > A-List in 3 weeks. The shortest possible time it could have done. Plus Girls Aloud aren't Radio 1's normal type of playlist act so they may only playlist a song of theirs after they see it has obvious mainstream appeal (as opposed to their fanabase), something "Call the Shots" and "Can't Speak French" have both proven to do.

Agree.

The song has not already gained a nickname of "4 Minutes to write this turd" for nothing.

As one critic labelled it (the forthcoming album) makes Robbie Williams' Rudebox sould like The Beatles Revolver in comparison.

Ouch!!!!!

September and Natasha are good inclusions...Hard2Beat off to a very good start
