I wasnt impressed with the single at first but I quite like it now. I think the HQ will be amazing, and it still sounds quite poppy imo.

I didnt like it at all either at first...

I agree, its very Poppy imo. But like people have said we will have to wait for HQ. She is pretty much guaranteed Number 1 though... on downloads alone i would say.

So universal acclaim for Madonna's new single

If you read my post you'll see I said it's had a strong critical response and a mixed fan response. You're quoting fans, and very selectively too.

I think Chris Moyles is giving it its first play. I suspect tomorrow or Friday.....

How on earth can people say it's amazing? I know it's only low quality but if you're impressed by that... Jesus.

I quite like Madonna, even though she jumps on every bandwagon going she still seems to be decent and also different. This... well it's just trash. Pure trash. And unless the HQ drowns out all the sound I highly doubt my opinion will change.

talk about hi-jacking a post - re the Madonna single

Radio 1 playlist?? means nothing anymore here in the UK....

How does it mean nothing?! If you get playlisted by Radio 1 you are pretty much guaranteed a hit single/some success...

I think they have just A Listed her down to who she really is and nothing to do with the song!

not necessarily no - radio 2's playlist probably has much more impact than the out of touch R1

No it doesnt. Radio 1's target audience are people aged 14-30 and that's the age demographic that buys the most singles.

:o I didn't know that Love Like This was getting released here! Is the album Pocketful of Sunshine too :mario:

No, they are re-releasing NB with "additional tracks" - no confirmation yet on which tracks these will be

Madonna's new single is excellent. I don't understand why people don't like it. =/ Excellent beat and production, fairly good lyrics...it's just a great pop song, I really don't even consider it that urban tbh. It's pop with urban influences, at the most. Whatever, their loss. I wonder if people would like it more if it wasn't a Madonna song but rather someone else.

Honestly I think so many people's musical tastes are so dictated by what other people say. Sheesh. Why even post critical/fan response as a JUDGE for how good a song it is? Should it even matter? I use reviews as an indication if I might like an album or not or if I should check it out; not so I can decide if I love or hate a song before I even hear it.

Its first play is now 17th March...

Clips of the HQ have leaked. The MQ rip was sped up ALOT. I dont know whether it actually sounds better in the MQ tbh :(
