This is putting words in other people's mouths. I don't think anyone is saying she should be dressing in a union jack dress or get her boobs out and to suggest that is you projecting on others.

Trust me she would be much more relatable to see her gardening in a pair of old jeans and a blue jumper or driving tanks in army gear like the girl instructing her did. If she wants people to watch her videos she needs to come across relatable, not odd.

Odd is subjective. Something could be completely odd to you and normal for me. Why do some fans feel comfortable telling a woman what is and what isn't acceptable to wear? It's her body. She can wear whatever she wants in her YouTube videos.

I think we're coming at this from two different directions. People remarking on her clothing and the perception that gives off, particularly in her YouTube series, isn't the same as telling her what she can and cannot wear (I appreciate some fans may be doing that on her Instagram). Of course she can wear exactly what she wants, when she wants. It's fantastic if she feels comfortable, confident and her best self. However it's definitely the reality that a lot of people are finding Geri to be odd in a way that is not endearing or relatable, and this is maybe at odds with what she's trying to achieve with the YouTube series (though I honestly couldn't define what the point of that series is - is it an exercise in wanting to seem down to earth and make the public warm to her? I think, unfortunately, it's a failed experiment...). Geri is certainly an enigma.

It's more about the fact that people use that against her. Comment on it all you like, but to use it as a point of berrating her is a bit wild.

No-one is saying that these things have been said here, but sometimes across the fandom, there are somethings said about her dress sense that are very much filled with sexism and are used agaisnt her. That's the issue.

Geri's latest rainbow woman video this Sunday is her going camping you guessed it wearing white!

It kinda looks like she is camping on her own estate too.

Gerita

I think she's just got this obsessed idea that Lady of the Manor's usually are color-coded and that's one color, so black won't do. So white it is, sophisticated white. Oh Geri, your mind.

Today's episode includes another new (actually known) song 'Deeper Love' from the Ryan Louder sessions, as well as I've Got A Name.

I know it's delusional of me to even keep track, but so far she's included 11 songs in Rainbow Woman:

1. Love And Light (more than once)

2. Hallelujah (more than once)

3. Rainbow Woman

4. Travelling Light (more than once)

5. Deeper Love

6. Man On The Mountain (more than once)

7. Deep Down

8. Without Love

9. I’ve Got A Name (more than once)

10. UNTITLED (end song to ‘Queen Bee’ episode)

11. UNTITLED (song halfway through ‘Beauty on the Inside’ episode)

(Happy to be corrected if I missed anything or got it wrong)

I'm not naive enough to believe we're getting an album. But. Just saying...in some alternate universe, this lineup would be pretty close to what I'd choose out of her unreleased material for an album 4. I realize the jury's still a bit out on the songs we didn't hear in full, but this seems to mostly do a good job of weeding out the weaker songs on the 2016 album leak. I'd just keep the original mix of Man on the Mountain...and add Phenomenal Woman. I'd also add Back in Business...but that's just because I pointlessly carry a candle for a song that Geri probably dumped and promptly forgot years ago.

I've noticed her views have been getting higher faster. Todays clip already has 5k and last weeks has 80k.

New episode 'Wild" sees Geri petting birds of prey :)

It also includes clips from Sheriff (which had not appeared in the series before) and another unreleased track (I'll call it 'Dreaming Higher') which sounds like another great pop song.

So she's now included 13 different new songs in the series - 6 from the MOTM album that previously leaked, 2 from the Ryan Louder sessions and 5 completely new to us (probably from the same sessions though: Rainbow Woman, Travelling Light and 3x untitled ones).

---

EDIT: I have now relistened to the clip at the end of Wild and it's actually another clip of the same unreleased song included at the end of Queen Bee (the former finishes and the latter starts with the 'I'm dreaming higher' line). The song sounds excellent in both parts.

Edited by Alberto!

So this is the updated song count (12):

Love And Light

Hallelujah

Rainbow Woman

Travelling Light

Deeper Love

Man On The Mountain

Deep Down

Without Love

I’ve Got A Name

Sheriff

Dreaming Higher (end songs to ‘Wild’ episode / ‘Queen Bee’ episode)

TBC (song halfway through ‘Beauty on the Inside’ episode)

Very nice! I feel like she could do with toning down her vocal fry a bit, it feels a bit overused, but overall it's a sweet song.

The big thing is...I'm super appreciative of Geri and her team releasing a full song without interruptions...and with the lyrics.

The new version's pretty. I continue to think Without Love is among the best three or so songs she's done in the post-Passion era...and one of her prettiest ballads just in general. I wonder if it's about anyone in particular. Robbie sprang to mind. But that's all total speculation on my part.

Totally honest. I do prefer the leaked version from a few years ago. There's a certain haunting quality about that one. I also prefer her vocal take on that one...which isn't as reliant on the vocal fry. I don't mind the fry in general, but I think a little really goes a long way with it. But minus the number of vocal fries, I think she sounds really nice on this.

So. Yeah. I definitely prefer the leaked versions of both Man on the Mountain and Without Love. But, whatever. These are Geri's songs, and if this is how she wants her work to be interpreted and heard, cool. I'm glad I get to hear this one in full.

I assumed the car she covered in spray paint would be a tease of today's video but there was no Rainbow Woman episode this week, so I'm taking she's either skipped a Sunday or she's decided to call this a day.

Wouldn't be surprised if she's given up, bar the odd video where it's featured somewhere most of them don't break 20k views max.

I don't think any of this has done her or her image any good and if I know Geri she's moved on to Spice Girls stuff as she will want to be front and centre of what will be happening this summer.

Pease explain how these YouTube videos have hurt her image if "no one is watching them". Oxymoron......

Exactly.

The majority who do comment on them enjoy them and hope the music that accompanies them will be released.

Obviously Geri has no longer got enough filmed content to put out a video every week which is fair enough and was always going to happen.

Because 4.5m people watch The One show and see a clip of it and the embarrassment of being asked why you always wear white. Or listen to the radio 2 she did, or read the tabloid press she got from it. A tiny proportion of people watch Keeping up with the Kardashian's doesn't stop people from forming an opinion.

Then you add in her actual fans who gave up after like 2 episodes and don't like what she did or how she has rolled this out.

Nothing about this project has been positive unless you are an absolute die hard fan who is satisfied with silly videos and talked over bits of songs. Even the people who have tried to support her and this in this thread it's very much wore thin and not exactly endeared the new Geri to them.

Just quoting this for Sideout

The criticism some fans have towards Geri is laughable. These fans are still going to eat up whatever Spice Girls reunion project she's involved in. They're still going to put money in Geri's bank account no matter how many white outfits she wears or if some of her views are conservative now.
