It's a joke between friends, give it a rest. Geri does absolutely make her opinion known if she is against it, as she did in 2019 when Mel said they had an affair, which to be honest sounded so convervative 'Dont call me a $l*t, im a lady now and I wear white' kind of bullshit.

This is like the 3rd or 4th time on TV shes did it now aswell. Boring.

I guess Mel B makes this joke whenever Geri is raised in an interview because she knows it'll likely get an easy laugh, although personally I don't think she's intending to be malicious with it! An aspect of their friendship from the start was definitely poking fun at each other, although we haven't seen that from Geri in recent years because she's been more serious! Maybe in private they're still like that and that's why Mel B feels that it's all in good fun to poke fun at Geri's age in an interview.

It’s not really just a private joke though, Geri has been dealing with this her entire career and so many still believe she lies about it. Mel C even went as far as to say she’d seen her passport when someone confronted her with it. I expect it’s funny to Mel B and maybe Geri would laugh about it outwardly but nobody in all honestly wants people to think they are older than they are especially not publically.

For sure, hopefully Geri isn't bothered by it though. I suppose Mel B is always going to be Mel B! In her recent documentary series (with Ruby Wax and Emily Atack) she singled out Geri and Emma as being her favourites, so she's kind about her sometimes (even if that could be interpreted as being unintentionally harsh to Victoria and Melanie C lol).

If Geri had a personality anymore we might see her being funny and playful in interviews or in general but well she hasn't.

 

It comes to something when Victoria comes across as more down to earth and real than Geri these days.
