I have quite a few, all the #01's I have which I regret seem to just drop right out, but I don't think I should have had Will Young & Melanie C as #01's in 2006 :mellow: Red Dress should have had 2 weeks instead.

I'd say all these shouldn't have been #01's for me :mellow:

Melanie C - First Day Of My Life [1-2-6-10-20-22-25-38]

Will Young - Who Am I [5-3-1-4-8-17-19-23-36-40]

The Streets - Never Went To Church [1-2-10-24-34-40]

Matt Willis - Hey Kid [14-9-13-21-22-19-11-7-1-4-10-19-27-40]

Matt Willis - Don't Let It Go To Waste [2-1-4-7-16-26-29-37]

And one more :mellow:

Cliff Richard - 21st Century Christmas [1-7-33]

:mellow:

I liked it, I had a sudden love of all his music :lol: but I don't think either deserved number 1 for me :(

I liked Matt's song called "Crash" LOL. I think it was used as a soundtrack for some film or another, I dunno though. :lol:

It was for Mr Bean's Holiday :heart: Amazing film almost as good as Bean The Movie LOL :lol: It got to #05 for me aswell :o

Good topic ^_^

I don't really regret any as such, but if I were to change any of my number ones, the ones i'd change would probablies be:

* Keane - Nothing In My Way [1 week: 23rd - 29th October 2006]

I don't like having one week no.1s, so instead of having 3 different no.1s in as many weeks, i'd replace Kasabian's 'Shoot The Runner' and Snow Patrol's 'Set The Fire...' with this one, which I prefer muchly

* Kaiser Chiefs - Everything Is Average Nowadays [2 weeks: 20th April - 13th May 2007]

Sandwiched between two Arctic Monkeys songs, i'd rather have had Snow Patrol - Signal Fire at no.1 for the two weeks

* Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent [6 n/c weeks: 14th - 27th May, 4th - 10th June, 25th June - 15th July 2007]

I'd change the two weeks it was held off no.1 by Klaxons - It's Not Over Yet, and stop it happening. This would have meant that the Arctics would have smashed the record for most weeks spent at no.1 (6 weeks). And 'It's Not Over Yet' isn't that good now tbh

That's pretty much it, i'm happy with my no.1s overall ^_^

I don't like having them either :o Why is that :lol:

*shrugs* coz we REWL? lol

In all seriousness though, ive only had 8 altogether since March 2006, and 6 of those were in 2006 :lol:

Gonna see if I can go through 2008 without having a single one-week no.1.. y'know, just for kicks

I've had about 4 this year and they really annoy me :lol: I have no idea why

Plenty :lol: Looking back i'd change loads of them, but that's what chart histories are about :P

I regret the following the most:-

The Killers - Bones

Athlete - Hurricane (2 weeks at most, not 5)

Elliot Minor - Jessica

Bodyrox - What Planet U On? (dropped fast, so probably never deserved the #1)

I would have made Serebro - Song #1 a number 1 looking back :(

I'd change only one I think -

Rihanna ft. Ne-Yo – Hate That I Love You

I think I'd have rather have had 'Bleeding Love' climb back up to #1 as it only spent 1 week at the top. I could have made 'No One' #1 for one week if I wanted another 1 week #1. I was just into this song that week, realistically I think it would have been better at #2 or #3.

Rihanna Ft Ne*Yo - Hate That I Love You

Pussycat Dolls - Wait A Minute

Fergie - Fergalicious

All are good but didn't deserve #01 at all really :(

Sugababes Change [9-5-4-1-5-15-25-40-70-75]

I realised how bland it was and then it dropped so fast, its still my 10th favourite song of 2008 though

i'd not change my chart if i could but i regret about having this year's "Just" - Mark Ronson a little! :o

also i think i shouldn't have had Jesse McCartnie - Right Where You Want Me as my #1

ooh and Hellogoodbye - Here(In Your Arms) [01-20-40] + Maria Serifovic - Molitva [01-32]

btw these are the shortest #1 chart runs ever :o :lol:

  • 1 year later...
Spice Girls - Headlines
  • 3 weeks later...
Don't really regret any. Maybe I wouldn't have charted The Saturdays' Work as early as March 2009. They performed it on Ant & Dec and was announced as a single... but it didn't come around until June!
well, Eamon - Fvck It comes to mind, it actually reached #1 and dropped off my top50 2 weeks later. There are quite a few others that I dont even remember how they go too.

Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love

Beverley Knight - In Your Shoes

Recent #1's and everything. God knows what I was thinking, both dropped like a bomb aswell.

Lovebugs - The Highest Heights

from earlier this year, should have been La Voix by Malena Ernman that week...other than that, no recent regrets

Elton John - Candle In The Wind 97 - quickly dropped out though

DJ Otzi - Hey Baby - a holiday song, but one I'd rather forget ever existed now :lol:
