March 30, 200818 yr 38 (from 43) Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697175622.JPG Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-2-3-12-17-16-28-33-37-33-33-41-40-43-38 [23 wks] Release date: 22-10-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697175622 Label: BMG The wait is over. 'Bleeding Love' is the first single to be released from Leona Lewis’s highly anticipated debut album, 'Spirit'. Since winning the X Factor in 2006, Leona has been recording and writing for her album, taking her time to get it absolutely right. 'Bleeding Love' gives us the first glimpse of what we can expect and is well worth the wait. 'Bleeding Love' was written and produced by LA’s hottest emerging talent, Ryan Tedder, whose credits include Mary J Blige, JLO, Timbaland and Natasha Bedingfield. Leona Lewis was the first X Factor winner with international potential. In December 2006 she won the X Factor and had a massive Christmas Number 1 hit with 'A Moment Like This', the most downloaded track in the UK of last year, with an amazing 50,000 downloads in the first half hour alone. This immediately thrust Leona to having the biggest ever debut single for a female artist. As Simon Cowell simply put it: “She’s mesmerising. I literally couldn’t believe how good she was.” People were quick to compare Leona to the likes of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, which is good company to be in, but Bleeding Love is set to remind people that she has her own unique sound. Leona set off to the US in February of this year to perform an intimate industry only showcase hosted by the legendary Clive Davis. Leona has since has been working with Dallas Austin, Soulshock and Carlin, Jam and Lewis, Walter Afanasieff and Salaam Remi. Between them they have worked with artists such as Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Usher, TLC and Michael Jackson. Every track on her forthcoming debut album has the potential to be a single. The album has been executively produced by Simon Cowell and Clive Davis. - HMV Video here: 3n1ZwLSf8Wg track listing 1. March 30, 200818 yr 36 Britney Spears - Break The Ice [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697190732.JPG Chart Run: 36 [1 wk] Release date: 14-4-2008 Availability: pre-order now Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697290262 Label: RCA In the late 1990s, Madonna had long since become a mature artist, turning her back on the carefree dance-pop of her early days ("Like A Virgin," "Holiday," etc.). Teenage singer Britney Spears picked up on this specific Madonna era, albeit with a more girl-next-door approach. Her coy mix of innocence and sensuality (and infectious songs) made her a superstar, and helped inspire the teen-pop phenomenon that soon dominated pop music. By the early '00s, Spears was casting about for a more adult image, and remade herself into a vixen, experimented with acting and reality TV, and had two children with the controversial wannabe rap star Kevin Federline. While her personal life preempted her musical output for a while, she seemed on the road to artistic recovery after the 2006 birth of her second child. A critically lambasted appearance on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards and a very public custody battle with Federline worked against her, but her concurrent album release BLACKOUT bought her some credibility with the fickle music press. - HMV Video here: PvzwXtU8BeE track listing 1.
