Lol i do running every Wednesday afternoon out of choice. We go about 7 miles every week and i can't even run any further, last week i started walking at about 6 miles so i'm kinda c**p  . I think i'm better at about 3000m. Never timed myself though. Last summer i did 1500m in 5 mins 57 seconds. Being 6 foot 2 is amazing :cheer:! I'd like to do a proper race, maybe half marathon someday, at the moment i just do the annual dovedale dash, which i doubt anyone would have heard of but its like... next door.

And good luck to all of you. :P

I've just entered the general ballot for the GNR 2009 :w00t: Fingers crossed I get in. I'll be rather bummed if I don't  It's been my aim since last January

Best work out my training plan (now the horrible winter is over hopefully) at work tomorrow :D

i've properly taken up running now to attempt to shift the freshers weight and reclaim some fitness.

I'm doing not to bad, 25/30minutes just about every day.

It's quite surreal today i was running in slushy snow and a bitter gale, yet in 2weeks i'm going to be running on a sun kissed beach

I'm back into training on Monday :cheer:

And a little update - I'm in the Great North Run :cheer: Just hope I can 'run' all the way

And I have my first proper race/run at the end of March in Boro. A nice little 5k to get my Great North prep underway.

I have my first 'real' run this season at the end of April - a 10 km

.... and am doing the Great Manchester Run - 10 km - and they have announced Haile Gebrselassie and Usain Bolt will be running with me!!!!!!!!!

Completed the 5K today. Seemed to be my easiest 5K so far. Did it in 31 minutes something  Forgot my darned runner's watch, and I crossed the line on 32:16 for my gun time.

Just need the results up online so I can get my chip time. I know it was at least 1 minute until I crossed the starting line. :D The txt I received with my "official result" was completely off though  It said 32:28 :/
