Interesting episode, great effects wise, not too sure about the episode I might take another pew at it, I just found it too much effects in your face, I give it around 6/10

The Ood are back next week :cheer:

"Am I bovvered"? Catherine Tate "How very dare she".

I'm sad to say that was as bad as I feared last week's opener would be.

A potentially good episode with an interesting plot ruined by Catherine Tate's larger than life comedy show persona ruining Donna Noble's character, and over shadowing excellent turns by Peter Capaldi, Phil Davis, Francesca Fowler & having now checked that was Drop The Dead Donkey's Sally Smedley (Victoria Wicks) as the High Priestess.

couldnt agree more.... every so often you heard a 'character' coming out and it totally ruins tates credibility...

plotlines are getting very tiresome too... and next week the unbelieveable 'ood'?... get some new ideas lads, broaden dr whos horizons, hes in charge of a machine that can travel in time and space ffs!!! USE YOUR IMAGINATIONS.

I really enjoyed it this week actually! But mind you i enjoyed it last week too! lol and  for the Ood! ^_^
So bad :( The plotline, acting, script.. everything was just bad. I had one friend with me who watched last week's only and she hated it, and another who's never seen it and he liked it. I've seen most of it and thought it was awful.
We're not in America. I hate people writing 'Season'.

I think some of the crticism for the episode is slightly unfair in my opinion.

I disagree with some of the anti-Catherine Tate comments. I think she gave a great performance towards the middle of the episode in particular, though I do admit, at the beginning I did worry that she was trying too hard to go for the comedy of the lines, but this wasn't the problem with the episode.

Personally, the story was all over the place, what with the Sisters, then suddenly we snapped back the whole circuit idea, then back to the stone, I just felt it was out of place and messy, and to be honest the 'villain' wasn't very clear, i was very confused watching the show, and I don't know if I'm making myself clear here but if you watched I'm sure you'll know.

However, the visuals were brilliant, a potentially brilliant episode ruined by some out of place writing.

8.5/10 after a second viewing!!!!!!!!!!!

I think too many people are trying to compare her to her characters in the CT show, or are doing it subconsciously.

Thankfully I've never watched the CT show, and I'm enjoying her as the assistant. Something lighter than the serious I love you by Martha relationship. That felt a little awkward for me. The emotion CT showed near the end when she pleed for the Doctor to save anyone was a moving moment.

Big improvement from the invasion of the Jigglypuffs.

8/10

8/10, better than last week, but still not anything amazing, although Catherine has grown on me slightly, but there is a bit too much humor for my likings

the problem with tate though is that she only has to let a glimpse of a character of hers out a couple of times...which she did... to ruin an otherwise decent enough performance.

imho shes not the one for the role and i suspect she only got it to attract her fans. a cynical attempt to boost ratings.

I feel sorry for Catherine! :( Everyone thinks its her going back to the voices, but she cant help it if the directors and writers ask her to do it in that particular way!!!

but did they?..... but whatever the case it still spoils her credibility.

I thought it was an okay episode, it was good to see a different location instead of

present day cardiff/london all the time.

Sometimes Catherine says something which sounds like one of her characters, but i still

think she isn't as bad as the christmas episode she was in.

8/10.

although its starting off not too great, I really think the last couple of episodes could be THE best yet, wishful thinking :)
