To describe Hot Hip as dull could not be more ill-founded. They are so refreshing and different and I adore the fact they are being embraced so much by the mainstrem.

Good for Goldfrapp and Gusto too!

Does Radio 2 ever pay attention to their playlist? It always seems to be old stuff, and i rarely hear songs from their playlists.

Radio 2 pays pretty close attention to their playlist; many regular listeners hate the playlist, but I like hearing new songs. They often overplay the A List songs. I'm already tired of that McManus song. And David Jordan's latest is the worst on his album; I expect it to flop on the chart. Goldfrapp and Royworld should be on the A List. Radio 2 doesn't keep songs on the list as long as Radio 1 and don't do recent recurrents. So you will hear a song every few hours for weeks and never hear it again. It's tough to hear the C List unless you look at the track listings for them and then "listen again". Janice Long often veers off the playlist into Radio 1 territory, like the Courteeners, We Are Scientists, Elbow, and MGMT. And Steve Wright sometimes plays Kanye West and others that would never make the official Radio 2 playlist.

:o didnt see Royworld with Dust in the Radio 2 playlist :yahoo: :cheer:
I think Cahill will climb again. Radio 1 may have moved them down until they start climbing the chart, then they will promote them again. They don't want to burn the track out before it takes off.
Radio one playlist annoys me now  The songs are the same boring awful ones that they play - Even the ones that flop are kept on there!

:cheer:

Gabriella Album of the week, strange that Sweet About Me isn't playlisted tho

Sorry, how many of that playlist have flopped? :|
