I dont mind the full update, my only concern is it takes the focus away from download only's etc.

^^ Doubt it! :( I think its over for Sandi Thom and this song! Whereas Ashlee released this song way too early for it to go Top 15! :(

 

I think if anyone has a hope of wanting a Top 10 hit (Unless theyre already big i.e Madonna, Girls Aloud, Kylie etc...), they should release the download no more than a WEEK or Two before physical or even released on the same day! - Look at Rihanna and Take A Bow and also Ting Tings - Thats Not My Name as examples! Alphabeat are also currently doing it with 10,000 Nights! Storming up the iTunes chart when its officially released Next week! :)

True iTunes updates every 2 hours so thats 12 a day. And I like all these updates! But If your updating this many times then I think you should only note the songs that have fallen, moved up or Re/New entries Is there really any need to post the whole thing just to find out about 110 of those are non movers? :blink: Full updates around Twice a day then Top 40 and "Selected Others" throughout the day IMO!

I thought the time had long since past iTunes had any significant overall share of the download market? (Apple's existence is built on deceit, urban myths and propaganda that would make New Labour blush - naturally the last people they want to know the truth is their actual customer base - just look at the d(i)rePHONE )

 

Comparing the official download chart with progress and positioning of songs here is like looking at charts from 2 different countries, wouldn't water diviners make a more efficient system for getting an idea about dl.s throughout the week?

Yes i think that itunes used to be a very large majority of download sites but now its actually getting a smaller market share and this chart is becoming more insignificant.

Yeah i think everyone is being way to harsh on you. Whats the point in complaining in having updates too long or too often? Ej is very dedicated if he/she types each song out individually. The way i did it was change the position of the song, then cut and paste to re-order, and doing a top 40 took about 15 minutes, so a top 120 must take forever.

The whole point of this thread for probably two years was to summarise the chart. If you want to look at the whole chart click the link in the first post. Surely it's people who want to see everything have the alternative? :|

Yeah I know! :( Its such a shame too coz this is ONE of the best (If not THEE best) off the incredible album! I think it will pick up a bit more when people have heard it onthe chart show etc...

Me too :thumbup: It must take ages for them to change all the numbers and stuff - way too confusing for me! It's hard enough to do that without people complaining all the time :unsure:

So thanks to ej87, JamesP and any others that do the updates...I'm really grateful too :)
