If you're going to lyrically-analyse Nash at use more than one lyric. Even the lyric you highlight has meaning. It shows Nash being sarcastic, conveying a real sense that she's peed off, annoyed with her boyfriend. Entirely tongue in cheek too. 'Foundations' as a whole I'd say pretty effective highlights Nash being jilted, upset, attempting to save her relationships. She has emotional resonance. She has charisma and it shows on that song and on a handful of album tracks. 'Foundations' is a song one can relate to. 'I'm not gonna write you a love song, because you asked for it'. Not so relatable tbh is it? Alas, the vast majority of us don't really think about not writing love songs when our partners request them :o

Im not saying i dislike Kate at all - In fact shes one of my faves and im happy for her! :lol:

It's so blah. don't write her off unless you've listened to City and Gravity from her album Little Voice...there's plenty of emotion in those two tracks and the very last thing Sara Bareilles is, is overrated...she's been waiting for a big break for years...she's nearly 30 I believe and has been on the backburner since the start of the decade...Love Song only became a hit in the US because Napster picked up on it and used it in an advertising campaign...if not for that, the song wouldn't have done anything and certainly wouldn't have been marketed worldwide

So technically, the song does have meaning and much more than Kate Nash's songs.
May 14, 200817 yr I love the Alex Gaudino/Shena video and song, tune!!!! Though the video feel slike a cross between Ferry Corsten's 'Rock Your Body Rock' and Corenell's 'Keep On Jumping'!!!! Anyway, I'm SO pleased Sonny J's videon has been number 1, but as someone said, just cos a songs number one on BB means bugger all when it comes too predicting chart positions...I so hope the song gets top 10 i love it so so so so much!!!! wub: :wub: :wub:
