June 27, 200817 yr Author Katy Perry - sounds like Sara Barielles, so has potential to be a big hit. does it? not to my ears :heehee:
June 27, 200817 yr Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl just hit No.1 in America, and if it doesn't do the same as soon as it comes over here, I will be very shocked...also just won Buzzjack Song Contest 7 :D Ironik - Stay With Me I tipped this as a hit a long time ago, but it's had a proper release and proper video now...it's out physically next week and with downloads growing, could well go top 5 Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted Hard2Beat are yet to miss the top five and this track is just as infectious as Basshunter's 5 week No.1 single Now You're Gone...could well be a second huge hit for the Swede, especially as we never got Daddy DJ over here (the song it's based on) Dizzee Rascal feat Calvin Harris & Chrome – Dance Wiv Me will cross over Wiley style and give Calvin a much needed credibilty boost and give Dizzee his biggest hit. Potential No.1 in the making... Kid Rock - All Summer Long he's never had a huge hit here but this 90's style summer pop-rock anthem will be one of the biggest hits of the summer and has already been an iTunes No.1 video for a while now Natasha Bedingfield – Pocketful Of Sunshine a top 5 hit in the US, this is Natasha's best single since her Unwritten era, so probably in about 4 years...an infectious pop anthem, if it's not a hit here, it will be a crime Madonna - Give It 2 Me it's started slowly but when the airplay kicks in it should be a lowish top 5 hit for the queen of pop McFly - One For The Radio an inevitable top 5 hit really, they have a huge first week fanbase, and the song is more serious than their previous material so might well reach a wider audience The Ting Tings Shut Up & Let Me Go a song that's been tailor made for fashion show background music/festival round up's etc...it's already been in the UK top 40 and when proper airplay kicks in, it should fly high Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up they had five top ten singles from their debut album, so it's hard to see how this will miss the upper reaches of the chart Velvet - Fix Me tipped as the next big dance release, but the fact that it's on Positiva might just scupper it's chances...should at least make the top 20 though Solange - I Decided not out until August, but Beyonce's sister has Freemasons on the mix for her debut UK release and this one could well be huge Annie - I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me this is hard to call, and minimal airplay so far suggests a flop comeback for the Norwegian, but her upcoming album is hugely anticipated by 'serious pop fans' and they could push this into the top 20. With a bit of increased exposure, this catchy gem could go higher I think all will do well but the last 4 and Kate Perry (although i haven't heard Solange, i never even knew Beyonce had a sister :P ) Andy Abraham - Even If BBC will be promoting the hell out of it this time next month, if he comes anywhere other than last and gives a good performance it could scrape to No.5 and if it does come last he'll get the sympathy buy  Hard2Beat are yet to miss the top five Thats an amazing feat, but do you think they chucked off Ricky Astley because it was destined to flop? :P
June 28, 200817 yr Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl - LOVE this, such a grower, its already #1 in US and Canada and probs be #1 in Oz and New Zealand in the coming weeks so can see this doing big things here (though i can see why people may not think much of it) top 3/5 id say Ironik - Stay With Me - It seems to be struggling slightly on itunes now but could still go top 5 if its lucky but more likely top 10 Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted - This is gonna be HUGE, i loved Daddy DJ back in the day(criminal it never got released here), can see this going top 3. Dizzee Rascal feat Calvin Harris & Chrome – Big potential, ill say #1 though if not, itll either get stopped by Jordin or Basshunter Kid Rock - All Summer Long - This does sound very 90s but im loving it, now #1 in Germany! I hope it is released here on itunes though as hes banned it in the US but the fact its on itune videos and other itunes in Europe it should do. Ill say top 10, but it could go either way and could potentially hang around for a while but we'll see. Natasha Bedingfield – It could easily be her biggest hit here since These Words, top 5 if promoted id say. Madonna - Give It 2 Me - Her fanbase should ensure it goes top 10 on physical though i dont think itll go any higher than 4 or 5. McFly - One For The Radio - Awful! They are doing 3 CDs for £4 offer in HMV with this track but apparently they arent doing their text campaign but it may not reach #1 afterall but itll go top 3 whatever mind. The Ting Tings Shut Up & Let Me Go - Better than TNMN, a grower, hopefully top 5. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up -Loved their first single, wasnt sure at first about this but now love it, i actually think it could reach #1 in the summer. Velvet - Fix Me - I like this but ill say top 20 for this at the moment The Saturdays - If This Is Love- This could go either way, be an almighty flop or could go top 3 but i suspect itll go top 10 at least, they are certainly having quite a bit of money put into them though not sure how long they'll last.
June 29, 200817 yr Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl should be another surprise #1 over here, just like Lily Allen's Smile a couple of years ago. Ironik - Stay With Me I reckon it will be Top 3, but I absolutely dispise the song Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted A poor follow-up, it just sounds like the last track with nothing new to add, I think it will land Top 10, but more so closer to the Top 5. Dizzee Rascal feat Calvin Harris & Chrome - Dance Wiv Me will be Dizzee's breakthrough hit, thanks to Calvin Harris, should be either #2 or #1. Kid Rock - All Summer Long I'm not sure on this one, I've not heard the track so I can't judge but I didn't ever think he was big enough in the UK nor would he have a hit, so we shall see, if the video is doing well on iTunes. Natasha Bedingfield – Pocketful Of Sunshine this is definitely one of Natasha's best hits to date (if not THE best), it should make a splash at #1 by all rights by I'm afraid it will about scrap the Top 10 because of no airplay or promotion. Madonna - Give It 2 Me I was afraid that they might be one of Madonna's lower Top 10's judging by the slowness of climbing on iTunes, but now I think it is doing considerably well and should make Top 5, probably #4. McFly - One For The Radio obviously going to be Top 5 because of their marketing ploys and endearing fanbase, but I think this will end up #2 or #3 but then drop like a stone, once again. The Ting Tings Shut Up & Let Me Go a good follow-up to their #1 hit, I think this is safe for a Top 5 placing and more so end up Top 3, probably at #3. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up this will definitely be the girls third #1, I can't see this doing any wrong. Velvet - Fix Me not heard this track or about it, so can't judge. Solange - I Decided another surprise Top 5 on the cards here with this one, this is an awesome track, thanks to the Freemasons. Annie - I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me I'm afraid this will flop badly, lucky to make Top 30, I think it could be set for Top 40, maybe #35-37. The Saturdays - If This Is Love I think the UK won't be into this at this moment of time, I think there is enough of Girls Aloud and Sugababes to fill in the girlband void, I think this would be Top 30. June 29, 200817 yr Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl I think it will fall on its face here for some reason like Colbie Caillat, who was a success everywhere but here. Top 75 Ironik - Stay With Me Falling on itunes but god knows why. I think it will pick up though to get top 10. Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted Chavvy, catchy and R1 support. 3 things to make a hit. Top 3. Dizzee Rascal feat Calvin Harris & Chrome – #1 i think. Definately has that hit feeling... Kid Rock - All Summer Long Where is this hype coming from? Yes it will do well. Top 5 Natasha Bedingfield – Pocketful Of Sunshine FLOP!!! Top 75 Madonna - Give It 2 Me Airplay has kicked in a lot already, low top 10. McFly - One For The Radio #4 because of dwindling physical availability and dwindling fanbase imo, i think people have grown out of them. The Ting Tings Shut Up & Let Me Go Lots of airplay already, #11 on itunes, will probably climb a lot more once it reaches #10. I think #6 or #7 after peaking too early Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up I think Pussycat Dolls are far from the public eye at the moment, they seem a thing of the past, top 30 Velvet - Fix Me tipped as the next big dance release, but the fact that it's on Positiva might just scupper it's chances...should at least make the top 20 though Solange - I Decided Reminds me of Kelly Rowland for some reason. Might scrape top 10. Annie - I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me Yes you're right will appeal to serious pop fans like on BJ but will do nothing anywhere else. Top 60 My predictions are very pessimistic! :P
