30  (from 48) Mariah Carey - Bye Bye [P]

Chart Run: 56-44-49-50-48-30 [6 wks]

Release date: 23-6-2008

Availability: in stock

Number of Discs: 1

Catalogue Number: 1774465

Label: MERCURY

With her multi-octave voice and more than 80 million records sold worldwide, it's no surprise that pop diva Mariah Carey is viewed as the successor to Whitney Houston. She emerged as the premier R&B/pop songstress of the 1990s, and by the end of the decade had shifted gears a bit by collaborating with the likes of Ol' Dirty bast*rd and incorporating elements of hip-hop into her sound. Though her 2001 big-screen debut, GLITTER, was a total flop and something of a blow to Carey's seemingly Teflon career, her 2005 comeback record, THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI, solidified her status as a true pop-music diva. - HMV

One of her lowest charting singles, but at least Top 30. :(

I don't buy singles. I rather download a song or buy the album.

Aww poor Mariah... she should have waited to release the video (With the amazingly realistic Crying at the start of it ) uuntil Touch My Body had stopped playing full stop. She sent this out wayyy too early!
Afternoon, dear ^_^

Hello, my love

Afternoonies dearies. ^_^

Mariah #30. A very deserving flop I think.

YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL WE MIGRATE.

Well, after Touch My Body this is a really poor single choice. It was flopping in the US too. If I remember well it peaked at #26 or something like that and dropped the next week quickly.

Yes, me too now, but I took my time to get round to embracing the download era. Now that i'm there though, I doubt I will ever buy a physical single again :o

so is that her goodbye record :cheer:

It's average song at all, Bye-bye deserves to flop. I even say that #30 is too high for it. <_<
Noooo, Mariah is trying to act again?
:yahoo: Alphabeat :D Shame Fascination I suppose is out of Top 40 now :(

Why do you still buy so many physicals then? Do you prefer having the actual CD?
