July 31, 200817 yr thanks. its doind amazing! im just in shock that its doing good. if this had promo it'd do so great
July 31, 200817 yr What a strange comment. It doesn't rip it off at all...it samples it. If you do your research you will find that the writers from Lynryd Skynyrd are give appropriate credit, as is Warren Zevon. The way he sings it is in a similar arrangement, but his vocal range does not suit the song. Your post is a strange comment in itself. Lynryd Skynyrd deserve to be recognised over here, and this stupid song won't make people own the original. Dont you ever use sentences like "Do your research" to patronise me you prune, they may be given credit, but it's not a chart credit.
July 31, 200817 yr Hey Mart!n any info on Alphabeat? Album and single(s) if possible Thanx :D Boyfriend came on at work for the first time yesterday  I was singing along to every word naturally :D

Lynyrd Skynyrd's original was just outside the 40 last week - so people ARE downloading that as a result of hearing the Kid Rock track.
July 31, 200817 yr Gobsmacked at your stupidity  Yes, that was quite rude. But I shan't be bitchy. Nope, they're not the lyrics, it's actually 'One Step At A Time', so when you think about it, putting that on your foot is quite witty and not really stupid at all because it's something i'd get done regardless of whether it was a Jordin song or not. Do people like you actually have friends??
July 31, 200817 yr Boyfriend came on at work for the first time yesterday  I was singing along to every word naturally :D Your Asda has amazing music taste :heehee:

Nothing wrong with it, but not everyone's cup of tea!

It's meant to be good, I would Youtube it but I have no speakers on this computer, boo! I think theres a thread of it in the RnB forum (Not 100% sure though ) and he's gone back to his old self... which i really like but it seems 'Closer' will be his biggest hit :( I downloaded a few of his songs from his new album, and im not impressed, I thought he was changing to be a bit more edgy but he's stuck with his old stuff :( His singles were great but albums as a whole... Disappointing!
July 31, 200817 yr im disappointed to see kylie drop 4 places in todays midweeks i hope she at the least is top 40 on sunday
July 31, 200817 yr That Kid Rock song is the absolute worst song of 2008 - who the hell is buying it??? I really hope Kylie stays top 40, but i'm thinking she'll just miss out  i hope i'm proved wrong!
July 31, 200817 yr wow for katy perry in iTunes, straight at 1 cool idea about a tattoo, though jordin sparks isnt really one of my favorites
July 31, 200817 yr It's weird for me that Kid Rock is about to topple Dizzee just at the time that I've started to get bored with 'All Summer Long', yet really get into 'Dance Wiv Me'. 'All Summer Long' is a song that instantly grabs you because of the familiar sample, but when you hear it over and over, his vocals start to grate, especially the line 'we didn't have no inner neh'. Still love the original tracks it samples, though. Dance Wiv Me has been a real grower, I didn't like it initially cause I'm not a Dizzee Rascal fan, but it really gets into your head the more you hear it, and I like Calvin Harris' role in it - I like a lot of what he does, it's simple but fun. As for I Kissed A Girl, I like it on first hearing, but it could go either way: if it gets hammered for weeks like Grace Kelly or something, I'll soon get to hate it. And I think there are better tracks around now from The Script, Royworld etc, so I'm surprised by all this 'biggest song of the year' hype. Maybe it's the subject matter getting everyone steamed up! :P Edited July 31, 200817 yr by Kit Curran

Thank you for demonstrating your level of intelligence by turning an interesting discussion into one where you call me a "prune". Again, if you DO YOUR RESEARCH, you will find that people ARE buying the Lynrrd Skynryd original where otherwise they wouldn't, hence it's appearance in the charts in the last month.
