November 13, 201113 yr Flux is terrible. I've gone through the same pattern with all three Bloc Party albums, they completely underwhelm me with their singles so I don't find the album is worth bothering until it's been out for absolutely ages and when I buy it it's actually really good.
November 13, 201113 yr I don't think there's a Bloc Party song I can physically 'dislike'. Not like as much as other songs - yes, find average - yes, but disliking is bordering on TREASON or something.
November 13, 201113 yr Bloc Party invented 'double dipping' their fans. The original version of Silent Alarm didn't feature 'Two More Years', the original verision of 'A Weekend' didn't have Flux, whilst the original version of 'Intimacy' didn't have One More Chance (although in the latter case, it was all for the best). That's how indie they are. They invented it before it was famous.

November 19, 201113 yr Not really feeling any of their stuff so far though Banquet is a GEM. Try the following: Zephyrus, Signs, The Prayer, This Modern Love, Idea For A Story. Most of the rest (Banquet and So Here We Are aside) is lost on me these days...

I think it flows rather nicely. Opinions? Ion Square should CLEARLY be used as a playlist closer. In fact, my favourite playlist would have Ares as an opener, but with A Weekend In The City and Silent Alarm songs in between these, of course.
