The Dark Knight will pass over $1 billon in the near future. They're apparently going to re-release it to the cinemas [limted release of course] in January 09 so that it surpasses $1 billion.

Is there any list, that lists the top grossing films based on how much they cost and how much they made back?

Eg Mamma Mia has made about $500m and cost about $50m, where as dark knight has made almost $1billion and but cost $185m.

If anyone gets what I mean!

Wikipedia normally have them up for most films, and they're usually reliable.

Wow America's sales are really low...was expecting Eagle Eye to be close to 40k, I still want to see it, I heard it was very good.

Johnjo, do you have also total sales for some films (in dollars)? Or is there any source for this?
