Posted August 22, 200816 yr What sports have you watched of the Olympics and which sports should get more UK TV coverage. Which do you think are the most boring. I have watched: Women's Marathon - much of the Swimming - Canoeing Slalom - Rowing - Cycling (Women's Road Race, most of the Velodrome races and the BMX races). The most boring for me are Table Tennis & Eventing (Show Jumping). I say Marathons, Cycling (all forms), Rowing and Canoeing should all get more TV coverage. I find them much more exciting than Football, Cricket, Rugby, Snooker and Golf which seem to be on all the time. Edited August 22, 200816 yr by Euro Music
August 22, 200816 yr I have watched almost everything but swimming has been the best I've never seen
August 23, 200816 yr I have watched everything that's on..........but i love the track & field, diving and rowing most boring.......table tennis, handball, and baseball...me no likey
August 24, 200816 yr I've watched whatever is on except the sports that i think are too boring to sit through: Table Tennis, Equestrian, Basketball (don't find it exciting ) and Handball. I liked all the aquatic sports best except maybe diving, and canoeing and sailing should've got more coverage (even though sailing is a bit slow)
August 24, 200816 yr I've watched the BBC highlights and the Swimming Swimming well deserves more tv coverage
August 24, 200816 yr The worst sports are anything where a judge is needed to score. Less the likes of Boxing and Taequondo (sp) as there are guidelines but $h!t like Gymnastics and Diving are utter c**p!
August 24, 200816 yr Cycling and Swimming for me! I do like Athletics and its a pity our athletes didn't do better (although thanks to Christine in the 100 metres for some redemption). Sailing has got to be the most boring thing to watch - it just looks like some kids have let loose a hundred paper boats on a paddling pool to me! I know we did well in it but - come on! Its hardly gripping to watch. With regard to horsey events - I quite like show-jumping (and would love it if they introduced a 'Puissance') but I can't stand stuff like Dressage - to me its for snobs who get some weird satisfaction from seeing horses dance. Why can't they go to the circus like the rest of us! Norma Edited August 25, 200816 yr by Norma_Snockers
August 25, 200816 yr I didn't see much because of work, but I watched bits and bobs on Olympic Breakfast, like rowing, cycling, judo, boxing. I only saw one track and field event :o and that was the triple jump final.
August 25, 200816 yr I watched as much as I could really. I'd often be up until about 4am watching stuff, bar the last 5/6 days as i've not been anywhere near a TV.
August 25, 200816 yr I've watched whatever's on really. The BBC's coverage has been pretty decent with all the options via the red button actually.
